MLB 2025 Playoffs/World Series thread.⚾️🧢

Well.. Yankees 28... Brewers 11...and my oh my ....1... guys on the other side of the Gila mountain range .... good.... need something to listen to in the October pool

a little late to post, but have been in chats, so figured I'd jump in here too!

Red Sox fan here, and happy to see their magic number is now 1 after a win last night over the Blue Jays and a Houston loss.

I got a good chuckle at the 9-3 out to end the game. The last time I saw that happen was in a little league game.

Still have fingers crossed that the Reds can slide in there for a spot. All we need to for them to be even w/the Mets and we're in.

I couldn't believe that play at the end of the game either. It proves, at every level, that you always need to hustle. Let's hope Houston losses today, so there's no pressure on the Sox to have to win.

This must be the time of the year that everyone all of a sudden cares about baseball now. The higher stakes…
Now.. now.. now.... CBS and inside edition have been showing memorable human interest moments... check out the fellow who caught trout 400 home run ball

For some, sure. I usually watch all season, get my hopes up only to be let down. I always view the playoffs as a chess match between coaches. The players that are able to get them to the post season have done their job, now the coaches need to strategically lay and position their players accordingly, and hope they continue to perform.

A quote I heard several years from one of the little league coaches still comes to mind every year, "baseball is a game of mistakes. When a pitcher makes a mistake, the hitter is able to put the ball in play. When a hitter makes a mistake, it results in an out. The team that makes the least amount of mistakes, wins."
