MK Under the Sea show - avoid?

It is a great show. My girls loved it as preschoolers, but I agree it is a bit long. My nephew at 3 had a hard time sitting through it. YMMV

A good rule of thumb is to never let anyone else's opinion of anything be transferred to you. Everyone has different likes and tastes. Something that someone tells you is awful here might just be your favorite attraction in all of the place. If you can, do everyone of them. You will never know until you experience it on your own. Every single attraction in WDW is worth at least one visit. Then on your next trip you will know what you want to see again and what you do not.

This is one thing we've never done! I think we always run out of time or miss the show times. I think we will make a point to see it in August!!! Thanks for posting about it! :-)

I like it but at 40 minutes it was too long for my 3 year old. She was enthralled with Lion King though

I had no idea Nemo is this long! Yes, would be a stretch for some in our crew. I wish there was one place that listed all WDW shows and their length.

It was dark. It was cool. It had seat. This was the perfect place for us to recharge vs. taking a traditional naptime.

My kids get restless in a lot of places, but I was surprised how much this show kept their attention. They loved it! They are 9, 5, and 3.

I didn't see anything mentioned yet about the hard, wooden benches. The seats are a slated wood that can get uncomfortable.

I am so glad to see so many people giving Finding Nemo:The Musical- such favorable reviews. I rank this show right up there with Festival of the Lion King. I think this is a good show to watch on YouTube, before going, to understand the format. The appeal is being able to see both the performer and the puppet. Kids often focus on the puppets while adults may focus on the performer. I love that you can see both. I also think that familiarity with the songs is a draw to return. We love the "Go with the flow" song. We like to grab a snack, like candied pecans, to munch on during the show. We get there early to sit close enough to see the performer's faces.

My 21-month-old LOVED the Nemo show. We were right up front, so that may have helped, but she sat enraptured the entire time and talked about Nemo and Dory for days afterward. (She fell asleep during The Lion King. Go figure.)

I did not particularly enjoy Finding Nemo the Musical. I felt it was too long. I have seen it 1.5 times now and will not probably not be back. Now Festival of the Lion King is another story. we really like that show and see it every trip. But as everything else Disney, everyone's mileage differs.

The Nemo show is awesome but if I had to see any show it would be Festival of the Lion King. Its done so well and always tugs at your heart strings.

We loved it so much we bought the CD, and I don't really care about the movie. My four year old sang "Just Keep Swimming..." all week in the pool.

The Nemo show didn't do much for us. I think there's a lot of talent there, it just seemed sort of boring. And I'll agree about the bench seating being uncomfortable.

Even though the Nemo show was not a favorite of my family of 10, i agree that you have to experience everything at WDW at least once. Most of us napped and the others thought the performance was really good, but for little ones who are looking for a Nemo movie experience, it's not that...not so much

I gotta say....Nemo, Country Bear Jamboree, and Tiki room are the 3 shows that were one and done for me. Nemo just seemed to drag forever. But I love FOTLK and most all the other shows at the park. I can't really tell you WHAT i disliked about it so much...just that I did!

Every attraction at Disney World should be experienced at least once...except Primeval Whirl. It's horrible. They need to get rid of it. Seriously.
Sorry. It had to be said.

The Nemo show at AK is one of my favorites.

The Little Mermaid ride at MK is just "meh", like it was an afterthought, in my opinion.

Live theatre matters! Does your child like the Nemo movie? How does your child handle the scary parts at home? Every time I've seen the show at AK, there are a couple children crying loudly at 2 scenes. The actors do a great job of conveying emotion.

Maybe showing the show to your child on YouTube can help gauge if it's something that would be enjoyed or not.

All these live theatre shows at Disney have been inspirational to my son. He's been seeing them since he's 6 weeks old. He is 13 years old and a working actor and singer himself (not at Disney, too young). The shows are high quality and the talent is exceptional!
