MK to Wilderness Lodge for ADR

Hello experts!
I will be at WDW during President's week.
Staying at Pop Century.
On 2/21 (Tuesday) we have ADRs for Artist Point at 6:30. We plan on going to MK that day and going straight from MK to dinner.

Questions:
1. Is it a boat that goes to Wilderness Lodge? And if so, where do we catch it?
2. At what time should we be catching our "ride" to WL? We don't mind getting there early but don't want to rush.

I can't help you with the timing, but there is a boat that goes to WL from the MK.

It's been a few years since I've stayed there, so I can't remember if it's a direct boat, or it stops at the CR 1st. That would make a difference in the amount of time you need to allow yourself. Someone else should be able to answer that.

The boat from MK to WL is wonderful. When you walk out of the MK gates go straight ahead to the dock you see there. That's where you'll get your boat. The boats run pretty regularly about every 20 minutes. Sometimes you may go to Ft Wilderness first to drop off and pick up people but even then it's a quick ride with great scenery along the way. For a 6:30 ADR I'd be at the boat dock at 5:30. That way if you've just missed a boat you'll still have plenty of time to get there and if you get right onto a boat you'll have time to look around the lodge, if you get there around the top of the hour stop and watch the geyser erupt on your way in!

There is also a bus. It is quicker than the boat. So, if you are running a little late, take the bus. But even with the bus I would still be at the bus stop no later than 6.

What time does MK close that week? If it closes at 6, make sure you are at either the bus depot or boat dock before the crowds, because you could have to wait for two or three busses/boats if you don't.

After 3:00 pm the boat goes non-stop from MK to WL. The ride itself is about 10 minutes. As mentioned before if the MK closes at 6:00 pm you might catch the boat at 5:30 or so. We did use the bus a couple of weeks ago and it was fast. but not as enjoyable as the boat IMHO.

I took the boat Saturday 12/10 (arrived at the dock around 6:30 PM). It went first to WL then to the campground then back to MK. The actual ride was not that long, but we had to wait a good 20-25 minutes for the boat to show up. I was panicking becasue I thought it was going to be one of those little ones w/ the canopy that goes to GF, and there was a really long line waiting. Fortunately it was bigger and we were able to squeeze in. Unfortunately, the bus from Pop took awhile, and we were late for our ADR (but were still able to get in). We got to the Pop bus stop at 5:45 and were still late. Next time, I would take the bus to another park and transfer to a WL bus.

Make sure you read the signs above the docks so you get in the right line. From the right hand side if memory serves, there are both monorail lines, then the boat that goes to GF and Poly, then the one that goes to WL and FW. After that is the one that goes to the Contemporary, then the big ferry that goes to the TTC.

There is no boat to the CR from MK.

Maybe there's just a gap; I was going from memory. I just remember that the TTC dock was not right next to the WL one. Next time I will pay better attention.
