MK rope drop - Space Mtn

We've been to rope drop many times, but not since 7DMT opened. Is there still a mad rush to Space, or has the 7DMT crowd balanced that out a bit? Just curious.

Some people go to Space but almost everyone is either going to A&E or 7DMT. You should be in good shape with Space Mtn.

We were there last week - rope drop on a high-crowd Saturday, back of the pack because of transportation issues, on an 8:00 am opening. Space Mountain was a walk-on - posted wait was 15 minutes, but we walked right through the long waiting cue, and didn't stop until they asked how many in our party. Part of our group got off, and went right back on - 2 rides on Space Mountain in 20 minutes, and if they wanted a 3rd ride - it would have been the same thing - walk right through.

Part of our group went to breakfast instead of rides at rope drop - they still only had a very short wait when they went to Space Mountain after 8:30.

We did rope drop at Space today because seven Dwarfs was closed. 9am opening.
We rode it twice. Both times with minimal waits. It would have been about 30 minutes for our third go, so we skipped it. I wonder if some of the Mine Train crowd headed to Space. mine Train opened close to 10am.

During the last week of October there were probably a few dozen people headed to Tomorrowland (for Space Mountain, I assume) but it was calm, if not a brisk walk. It didn't even began to compare to the herd that continued towards Fantasyland. You should be able to get in two or three rides before any kind of actual wait develops.

My guess would be that 80% of the rope drop crowd is heading to Fantasyland, with the vast majority of that herd going to 7DMT and some to A&E. Enjoy your multiple rides on Space Mountain.

I also forgot to mention that we rode it 3 times at 7am on Christmas Day with zero waits.

If you want an alternate strategy, we rode Space 4 times in 35 minutes at 11:25 pm just a few weeks ago. The posted wait was 40.
