MK - Rope Drop For Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Hey All,

We are in line for mine train right now and this mght get merged with another thread, but I wanted to quickly write regarding the rope drop of mine train.

We read about a "hack" about going through the castle..... DO NOT DO THIS.

We were first in line, and they have changed the way rope drop happens. The bridge for the Fantasy line actually becomes the seven dwarfs line.

So please, if you are waking up early for rope drop.... Don't waste it like we did today... Go to the Official line.

I am so sorry this happened. How frustrating! We have been doing rope drop for 7DMT ever year since it opened and have never heard of going through the castle as a "hack". I am curious when this became a thing? Is this a thread on the disboards by chance? I hate that you got some bad info, and especially if that info was presented as a "hack" or quicker route. :/

Going through the castle is a better idea for PP/IASW vs 7DMT.

I hadn't heard about the suggestion of going through the castle, but considering how the 7 dwarves line forms, and more specifically where it forms, it wouldn't make sense to go through the castle. The fantasyland bridge that Robo highlights is going to be the only way to get into the line as early and soon as possible.

With the show just ending, I wouldn't think you would be able to go through the castle for a little while. Maybe thats what help you up.

That happened to us too 2 years ago. It was recommended on several big sites in the early days when they started letting people into Main Street at 8 (for a 9 open). I haven't seen that recommendation in a while but it used to be something suggested. It did not work for us at all.

I agree. If it's floating around anywhere here that needs to be shut down stat
