Serious long time lurker here!!

With the opening of Mine train, I'm trying to figure out how 3 kids over 40'', 2 under 7 can go on rides with 1 adult.

I'd appreciate any guidance!
Think Splash, Big Thunder are fine.. but can't figure out how it'd work for Mine Train & Goofys....
Splash Mountain : 1Ad, 2 under 7 in one row, 1 over 7 in another row
Big Thunder : 1Ad, 2 under 7 in one row, 1 over 7 in another row
Mine Train : Don't think it is possible, unless a full 2 row cart is treated as sitting together?
Goofys : Don't think it is possible

Thanks!

You are correct about Splash and Big Thunder. You can do three in a row for those.

Two under 7's can't ride together on the Barnstormer and probably not mine train either. How old is the over 7 child? I think an under 7 can ride with an older child, but I don't remember the exact age. It may be 12 or 14. If the over 7 child isn't old enough, you may have to do a child swap.

Thanks for the super fast reply!.... Eldest is 9, so that's out.

Child Swap not an option either, not trusting my 9 year old to mind one of the younger ones!

Looks like they'll just have to miss those rides.. Now need to explain to the 6&9 year old why they can't ride Mine Train!

They can. Each 7DMT cart has 2 rows. You and one child can sit behind the other two.

Ask a CM if you can. Maybe as long as you are in the next row it would be ok. Youngest with you and middle child with the 9 yo in adjacent row. I'm sure this isn't an uncommon thing.

Is there a rule about being under 7 that I'm not aware of? I've never seen or heard anything like this.

If you're riding with them, why can't you put the 9 and one 'under 7' one row, and you and the other 'under 7' in the other row?

I'm really confused. The only requirement is height I thought. And you are technically "with" them because you're present with them, riding with them.

Thanks, surely not an uncommon scenario! They'd get over Barnstormer...

Mine Train might be a bigger issue! Fingers crossed someone has tried & succeeded/ failed & will know. I'd prefer to bypass ride completely if can't be done!

On barnstormer they often will let them ride in front of you, at least they did for us many times.

For the Mine train you could always befriend someone in line and ask if one of the under 7 could sit with them.

How close to 7 will the 6 yr old be?

Thanks all,,, I know last year the then 5 year old & 8 year old were asked at most rides for her/his age.. Wasn't an issue as there was only the 3 of us & could split up accordingly. Toy Story Mania was the most obvious. Must have checked ages a few times before getting on the ride.

She'll be near enough to 7, but small for her age & in fairness to her I wouldn't want her to say she's 7 if not... She'd most definitely say she is nearly 7, but in fairness to the CM's, the rules are obviously there for a reason.

I would certainly ask and say that you will be on the ride and in the row behind them. I think often especially with her being almost 7 they will let you do it.
They don't want 4 yr olds on the ride totally alone which is why I believe they put the rule in place however if you are on the ride with them they will often let you do it. I would explain it to your child and say we will ask and see what we can do, no promises but we will try. Kids get that.

On TOT I sat next to a 4 yr old whose parent was several rows away with another child and they let him do it. He had 3 kids with him and only one was next to him the other 2 were in my row.

Not sure what the age requirements are to ride alone or with a siblings but...

A few weeks ago our 7 year old rode a lot of those rides listed with the 10 year old. The 10 year old was often asked how old he was and then was sent to ride with his brother. I know the 7 year old asked to ride alone but was only able to do that on Dumbo and a few other rides.
