On a day when MK closes at 9 p.m. and HEA is scheduled for 9 p.m. when do the rides stop running? If you are in line at 8:59 p.m. will you still get to ride? Do any rides stop running during HEA due to safety concerns? How about the RR? We have a FP+ for BTMR and would love to take the RR to the main entrance and avoid the crowd in the hub and on Main Street. Thanks!

If you enter a line before the official closing time, then you will get to ride. This is always the case. I wouldn't necessarily cut it as close as 8:59, but they will not prevent you from riding if you are in the line. I know they rope off parts of Fantasyland, but I don't really know if any rides stop. I know the area between the castle and carousel is a potential area for falling ash. They make CMs stand there though to prevent anyone from entering.

RR stops running for the evening within about 30 minutes before the fireworks start.

How about the RR?

The Walt Disney World Railroad usually calls it a day one hour before the fireworks(if fireworks are scheduled).:)

Years ago I went on Thunder MT during fireworks and they even let us stay on for a second ride since no one was waiting. I bet that doesn't happen that there are no lines. I think that was the second weekend in January way back in ancient times. Lol. I have to say riding during the fireworks was extra magical.

Most rides keep running during fireworks. In fact, it's a great moment for low lines.

BTMR is our absolute favorite ride for fireworks at MK. We have done it two years in a row and it just keeps getting better. We can usually ride it 3-4 times at the end of the night. The line moves quickly with two trains and not many people line up for this at the end of the day. It's pretty awesome to see the fireworks while you're on the ride.

Be careful waiting until last minute. I was at DL this summer and wasn't allowed in star tours or buzz 15 minutes before closing. It was strange.

We always jump on rides during parades and fireworks. Just be sure you are already in the area cause moving around while everyone is milling about can be super hard and at times dangerous.
