MK rides at night

We've always traveled off season and have never been at MK past 7 PM. In October we'll be there when the parl closes at 9 and have EHM. Any suggestions for rides to experience in the dark (splash mt, big thunder?) or do you stick pretty much to inside rides where it doesn't make a difference.

Last week we did both of those, Pirates, Jungle Cruise and HM after dark. All were very fun.

Oh do the outside rides, it is so fun. BTMRR is my favorite after dark ride. The Jungle Cruise is fun. Splash.

That said, I think the Oct EMH nights in MK will be a ZOO. MNSSHP tickets are so worth the price because they limit the crowd size.

The view from the top of Splash is great at night- you can see the Castle and Space Mountain all lit up. BTM seems faster at night Jungle Cruise seems alot different at night, too.

Generally, I'd say anything outside will be different (and often better) at night.

The train is fun too you can see the burning Cabin and going next to BTMRR is fun too.

One yr when we did mnsshp, we were riding btmrr when the fireworks started. That was great!

Splash is great. We once watched the fireworks from it. That was cool. Also BTM is fun in the dark too.

Gotta do the Carousel. D'uh! And you MUST see Spectromagic.

Actually, I try to ONLY go to MK at night now. It can look a little worse for wear during the day (don't hit me! don't hit me!), but it really is magical at night.

Are there FAST-PASSES for ride at MK at night for the late hours ?
Or are all the ride open non-fast-pass rides ?

spalsh mountain. the view from up top is great. If you are quick enough you can get a great picture of the castle from there. Tower of terror is fun to ride at night if your at mgm. Have a great trip

BTMRR is GREAT at night. Splash is fun, too. HM is extra-spooky after dark, even though it is indoors. Just walking through the queue for HM is fun at night- makes it more eerie, especially when you hear the dogs howling .

Other fun rides at night are Aladdin and Dumbo. Riding Dumbo during Wishes is the best- so magical!!

Jungle cruise is more mysterious at night- you can't see too far ahead and it just seems like at any time you could see scary stuff (even though it's all the same old stuff ).

Just walking around the MK is wonderful after dark.

I don't know about night EMH, but when I was at WDW for Spring break and MK was open till midnight, Fastpass ran till then, or close to it at least. But it's much less crowded then anyway -- we went on Buzz Lightyear about 10 times in a row without waiting, until they kicked us out (nicely).

Last, um, Sunday? We were the ONLY people on the last boat ride out on the jungle cruise just before the fireworks started.
1. we HAD to laugh at the guy's "speil" because we were the only one there
2. the ride was more interesting at night

Walking through Adventureland at night is always one of the highlights of my trip. There are torches lit above the walkway, and Jungle cruise is great at night...we also love doing the rockets..Astro-Orbitor...in tomorrowland after dark...they're all lit up and you have a great view! Have fun!!

One year on our last night at the Magic Kingdom DS7 was riding Goofy's Barnstormer and we were going on it for the 10th time in a row. Well, he was just starting to get off when the attendant motioned for him to stay on. I was perplexed until I saw the different characters coming up the off ramp. She asked him which character he wanted to ride with. He picked Pooh!! I was so excited and got some wonderful pictures of him with Pooh!!

Not sure if this is usual or not! But it made for a wonderful end to our trip and a wonderful night!!

OK - maybe I will have to try MK EMH. This sounds like alot of fun! Isn't there a certain time you have to get your wristbands by?

Love the MK at night! But I would avoid EMH honestly unless you are doing the smaller attractions or just want to walk around.

I love the castle at night, tea cups, BTMR, Splash, Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion. Also, the Astro Orbiter is pretty neat at night.

Last year during MNSSHP my dd10 and I caught the fireworks show while we were on Splash and that is all she talked about. It was her favorite thing we did - forget the trick-or-treating. This year we are going to MNSSHP on the 28th and she is so hoping we can be on Splash when the fireworks are going again!

EMH is fun because some of the rides are so cool riding at night! I especially love riding Splash Mountain at night. The last time I rode Splash Mountain it was during the fireworks. Just before the drop the finale of the fireworks went off. The view of the castle with the fireworks around it was amazing!
