MK RIDE Swap Progress/Mailing Thread-7/20--Due date is TODAY!!

I'm going to work hard on mine today and this weekend... I found a bamboo stencil for the Enchanted Tiki Room design.. Than got an idea for the other side of the border that I want to try out.. Now, I need to find some opaque fringy stuff like you put in gift bags.... Oh, I so hope this works.. if not I'm back to square one.. Plus, on my Stitch's Great Escape everyone will get 2 element sets.. I didn't like the first one but don't want to toss them.. so they will get both.. I like the second set better...

I'm plugging along. I have 2 of 3 groups done and I've made progress on the 3rd.

Mine were mailed today. As usual my post office was out of boxes so I had to send them in an envelope. I sure hope they don't get messed up. Two of my children were getting ready to knock this other little boy out who kept getting smart with them, so I hope I included everything.

I finished mine this morning!!! All 5 are complete!!! I like the way enchanted tiki room came out.. I hope others do too.. I must say.. I'm gonna have to go out and get some more of those prima flowers... I just love using them as embellishments.... Anyway, I have hopes to get them out on Wed.. I'll let you know when they go out!!!

I'll send mine out tomorrow.. I was going to do it today but every time I get ready to leave another storm goes through..and downpours in sheets.. I'd be afraid the items would get ruined from the van to the post office!!

I know what you mean, Nancy! It's not raining here yet, but it has been "gray" all morning. I keep waiting on the downpour to hit. . .which of course it will as soon as I decide to go outside!! (All the more reason to stay in and finish The Devil Wears Prada and then work on my album!!)

Went to town and the down pour insued.. good thing I didn't take the stuff to the mail.. I bought some school supplies.. Walmart has some major sales!!!! I still have some more items to buy.. but it's nice to buy them in small amounts that way the sticker shock isn't so bad as buying them all at once!!!!

Hi everyone! Are we still rolling along? I just wanted to check in with everyone--it's hard to believe we are just a little over a week from the deadline!

I hope to get these packaged and mailed back out to you by the 27th of July--I go back to work on the 28th, and I would really like to have them done before that. Just let me know how you're doing with your stuff! Everything I have seen so far looks terrific!

I'm done! I will be mailing tomorrow. Just to let you know, because I have borders I know it won't fit into the regular envelopes so I'll probably be using the bigger softer ones they have at the post office. I'll include two $4.05 stamps so you can send it back in a box if needed.

I'm really excited to get this back!

Plugging away, I may have to overnight the stuff though. Same for you Nancy. I'm trying to finish but everytime I sit down it's honey this or mommy that. I will take it with me to PA and steal a few minutes here and there. But you will get it on time!!!! Ok from now on do not allow me to sign up for swaps over to summer!!!
At least this year all 3 of the boys will be in school every day!

LOL! I so hear you.. All 4 of my big kids will be in school all day.. and then my baby will be in kindergarten 1/2 day.. Good thing I still have my babysitting babies or I'd be LOST!!

Glad my stuff has arrived. Just wanted to let you know that I'm having major issues with our phone line (as in this is only the 2nd day this month we've had it working) so my internet access is all but non existant. If you need to ask me something, PM me and I'll get back to when I can.

They went postal as of 10 mintues ago!!! Now, off to clean my house, get on DD's bottom to get the 4-H projects finished and ready to go to book signing on Friday... and than the other list of MUST get done today needs re-done for the 2nd time...and than to remember the high school basketball booster meeting tonight..and I'm sure that is only about 3 things on the list...
