We just switched our dates from a Christmas trip to a Halloween trip. We plan to attend MNSSHP on Halloween night, but we will also be spending the day at MK to enjoy it at a leisurely pace before the party crowd takes over.

I will be on the DP, and was wondering if any of the TS restaurants in MK do anything special or seasonal during the day BEFORE the party. Special menu, desserts, decor, or otherwise?

Im on the fence about whether to get an ADR on that day at all, but if it fit with our festive mood that day I would probably want to. :)

No. In the case of desserts and decor, nothing they haven't been doing since the start of MNSSHP.

Nothing special, and if you want a reservation book them early - we had a Plaza reservation around 4:00 last year when we went on October 31 that I made around the 180 mark. When I checked at a later date about an earlier reservation all of the MK restaurants were completely booked that day, as was The Wave.

Thanks for the tip, that's why I am asking now, my 180 day mark is in a month!

If you don't mind me asking, how were crowds at MK during the day on Halloween? We will only have one day at MK and I am so excited to spend my favorite holiday there, but I'm a little nervous about crowds(already bracing myself for the fireworks/parade crowds! :scared: )

We arrived later in the day for the Halloween party since we planned on staying till park close. It was crowded when we got there early afternoon -- you had the regular crowd plus folks starting to arrive for the party, and in any event MK is always busy during midday. Once the party started and the non-party crowd cleared out, the lines for the rides were good, except for 7 Dwarfs which was still a long wait. The parade route for the first parade was crazy packed -- I caught a glimpse of the headless horseman but didn't bother with the rest. Our daughter really wanted to see the Hocus Pocus show and got a place early for that, then liked it so well she stayed in the same place for the second show and then the fireworks. I personally didn't think the fireworks were anything special, but the Hocus Pocus show is definitely worth seeing. Definitely crowded for the fireworks.
