We are going to MK for just one day the week after Christmas. Any suggestions on which day. Which you go to a Character Meal? (if so which one is the best) Any strategies for seeing it "all" for kids ages 7,6,2,1 that don't like thrill rides? Thanks in advance.

If you want to try to "do it all" avoid MK on Xmas Day and NYE. The other days will be very crowded (it's the busiest time of the year) and I don't know if it would make a difference which day you went.

You will not be able to do everything in one day. This is a combination of having too many things to do and having crowds that are too large. However, I would get a guide book and/or use this site and make a list of "must dos." These are things you feel you absolutely must see on this trip. Don't make it too long. Then, make a list of things you'd like to see, but if you miss some of them it won't ruin your vacation. Then make a list of things you'd like to see if there is time. Once you've prioritzed things you can make a general plan of attack. Make sure you hit the must dos while working in the others as time permits or opportunity arises.

If you are staying on site take advantage of EMH. If you are offsite, do not go to MK on an EMH day.

Use Fast Pass!!!! Maximize it's use. Get a second FP as soon as you are permitted and before you use the first FP. Even if the standy line wait time is less than the FP return time you should still get the FP. Go wait in the standby line of another attraction while holding an FP for the first attraction.

Make PS for any sit down meals. They are a must at this time of year. Your kids may also like a character meal. Book it as soon as possible.

If you want to see a parade from a good viewing area make sure you line up real early. And I mean real early.

With young kids be prepared to take a break and rest during the afternoon. There are lots of things going on and young children get overwhelmed and exhausted easily. Be prepared to take a break. If you're staying onsite or nearby you may wish to go back to your hotel for a few hours and nap.

Go to MK with the understanding that it will be crowded, you will have to wait in long lines, and you will not be able to do everything. I'm not trying to discourage you from going that week. I think Disney and the MK can be wonderful places to visit over Xmas. You just have to go with the right mindset to avoid being disappointed. Too many people go to MK that time of year and think they can do it all. They are "shocked" to find out other people want to do the same things they want to do.

I hope these tips help and I hope you have a good time.
