I could be wrong, but it looked like Josh did not watch the opening show. Is there a way to get in a few minutes before without watching the opening show? I remember you use to get in and wait at each land for it to open. Just wondering if this is still and option?

Not without an ADR.

I believe what Josh was saying is that if you position yourself to get into the park quickly - either on the left or right where the entrances are - then you are not in a good position to view the show. The best view for the show is in the center.

So, basically if you are there early, you can choose between getting a good spot to be one of the first in the park when the show ends or getting a good spot to see the show.

I do like the show, so we made a bit of a compromise on our last trip and kind of stood where we could still see the show but weren't too far away from the entrance. Yes, plenty of people were in the park before us but it wasn't bad. It was Fairies Week and we were about 20 people back when we got to the meet'n'greet. (We went straight there)

Thanks everyone. I love the show too, it is a short trip for us this time.
