MK Opening Procedures

I know there have been some changes the past few months to the opening procedures, rope drop, opening show, security, etc..

I visited in January expecting to be allowed on main street an hour prior to opening for rope drop to occur at the hub, but that wasn't the case.

What are they doing now? I know security is now at the TTC of course. Can you access main street prior to a 9am park opening or do they hold you at the train station as before?

I did read that actually, right before my trip in January. I went right around Jan 30th. I was surprised to see that on the day I was at MK they allowed no one past the train station until park opening (well 5 mins before anyway for the opening show). Just curious if that was a fluke while they were still sorting out changes.

I would think so. I hope it was just a fluke. I'm looking forward to the new procedures in a couple of weeks! Hopefully someone who's been recently can confirm.

They let you in at about 8am sometimes there is things they have to clear from the streets or people if there is a race going on but for the most part Main Street opens at 8

I was there end of February and in March and will be there this Friday and then Sunday through Saturday

Last week we wree allowed to walk down Main Street USA to the castle and then we had to ait for the short opening show to be over for them to allow you to any other area of the park.
I loved the opening show before but actually I enjoy this opening procedure better because I feel like as long as I get there a little early I can take my time to walk down Main Street USA and then once you're let back to the lands its not as much of a "mad dash" to PP as I used to experience.

I go to the welcome show generally at least once a week and I'm pretty sure I have been through every type of opening.

To set, I usually park at the TTC an hour before regular opening, walk up to the TTC unless a tram is ready to go, and then go through security.

9AM, no EMH - Always let onto Main Street whenever I make it across the lagoon (some days only the ferry is running, some days all transportation. This all affects what time I actually make it to Main Street)
8AM, no EMH - Let onto Main Street no later than 7:45 (held at Train Station), but have also been let in earlier
8AM, 7AM EMH - held at TTC until 8:30 when we were allowed onto transportation.

I guess the only one I haven't done is 9am with 8am emh, but I assume it would be similar to the EMH day I have been to
