MK on Saturday??

Going to the world Sept 19-25. The UG says that the MK is a "best day". It happens to be a Sat. Should we try MK on a Sat. I dont know if it matters but Mickys Halloween Party is on Friday night. Help.

The UG recommends Sat for MK because that is a heavy travel day for the out of towners. UG hasn't steared me wrong yet so I'd say go for it.

Birnbaum's OG indicates weekends and Monday's are most crowded in MK

I think Sunday is bad but Saturdays are ok (non-summer). The theory is that most travelers come to Disney on a Saturday thru Saturday vacation. Saturday's a travel day and they want to go to the MK on their first park day, which would be Sunday.

I could be completely wrong, though.

We went to MK on Saturday May 13th. I was worried about crowds but we had a great day. We were there early for breakfast then did all our favorites and headed out by lunch. I went back at 6pm and was surprised it wasn't mobbed for Spectro. Maybe it was just the time of year, but we had a great Saturday there.

Are sundays crowded for MK?

We went to MK last year on the last Saturday in September and the park was the most crowded that we had seen it during our entire trip. We couldnt' even get a FP for the Pooh ride in the early PM they were all gone.

Tuesday's are our normal MK day. On our next trip, it's suppose to be a 4 out of 10 for crowds, but we'll see. We won't go until Sept.

I know the UG actually measures the crowds and if they say Saturday is a good MK day, they have data to prove it. However even so I can't make myself go over there on a Saturday unless it's the only possible day.

We went to the Mk on a sat. in Dec. '05 during value season because the TGM said that was the day to go for the week. I was very leary since I have read so much here about avoiding the Mk on the weekends. However, we did it because it worked in our best interest and it was just fine. We had no issues with crowds. I think they really do know what they are talking about.
