We are staying at HIFS the first night and then moving to POR unfortunatley by the time we eat breakfast, check out and in at POR and get tickets it will be late morning. We ALWAYS go to MK first and this trip it will be EE and probably crowded so my family wants to go to MGm or Epcot. We have the icecream social at 3:00 so will see characters that day but still NO WALK DOWN MAINSTREET I don't know if I will feel like I am THERE. If you know what I mean. DH wants to go to Epcot and spend day but that does not seem magical enough for 3 year old to start the trip and DM wants to go to MGM first to see Ariel or Bear and Mickey and do RNR and TOT for big kids but still no walk on main street til the next day. The next day we have PS for castle breakfast so that will be magical. What do you think risk the crowd to do a few things in MK and pop over to Epcot or do MGM and pop over or go right to Epcot. What would you do? To have such dilemmas I know I should be happy but still no walk on main street to start the trip IDK. Thanks!!

Okay, I would get up and go to EE at MK, stay 'til 11 or so, then drive back to HIFS and check out, go check-in at POR and then head to EPCOT or MGM!

We have done it this before! It was our LAST DAY (so same thing, but I wanted to END with a walk down Main Street!) and we were due to check out of the Contemporary. We did MK EE, then at 11 monorailed back to the CR, checked out--but we left our car, filled with our junk, in the CR parking lot--and monorailed BACK to MK where we stayed until 4:00 (until the crowds got so bad we couldn't possibly stay another minute!). Then we got our car at the CR and drove to HIFS where we checked in for our last night before an a.m. departure.

Good luck with your decision!

good idea but I can't get tickets unless I check in at POR still do-able but a little tight as we would still need to eat breakfast starts at 7 and then go get tickets etc. I don't think I can get the gang to run around that much on day one or they will never make day 7 LOL
