MK on a Friday or Saturday ...

This time of year, does it make any difference? We are going up for the weekend on Friday and getting a one day park hopper. I figure it will be busy either day we go so we might be better off trying to go in the morning on Saturday and then maybe switching to another park later.

Normally, I would avoid MK on a Saturday but since its summer and busy season anyway, I am wondering if there will be much of a difference between Friday and Saturday and we would get more park for our buck on Saturday since we wont get in til around noon on Friday,

Although both days would be extremely crowded I would still avoid Saturday, still have all the locals who would be working on Friday going on Saturday making it that much more crowded.

Here's our recent experience. MK is getting really, really packed on Fri nights due to EMH. So we decided to go Sat morning. It wasn't too crowded when we first got there. I think there are too many people doing the park the day after EMH. Because as the morning progressed to afternoon, it was a different story. It was very packed. We left MK late in the afternoon.

Decisions decisions.

I think we are just going to plan on going early on Saturday morning and if it gets to nuts, we will just try another park, and if that's nuts, we'll go swimming.

this past weekend was a nightmare! Hit EPCOT on Friday AM ,got onto Soarin in 15 minutes, then had to FP the rest of the day. Tried MK on Friday evening after dinner at Ohana, OMG, I have never seen it so crowded! We tried doing cool things like Philharmagic, rode some rides. Saw Wishes, (again), thought that it's clear out and cool off some, HAH! Boy were we wrong. I swear at 11:30 it felt like it was still 100+. Still crowded as well. We gave up and left around 11:45. People were already staking out spots for the 12:30 Specromagic. All my kids complained about was being run over by aggressive people with rental strollers It rained some on Saturday, cooled things off conciderably. We left MGM mid afternoon, returned to POFQ for a few minutes, thought we'd try MK again. Yeah right. It must have been 20 degrees hotter there. We picked up a FP for SPlash at 4:30, it had a return time of 8PM. Factor in the fact that they were allowing anyone with a FP that had been unable to ride due to the ride being down to return and you have a nightmare. We went back to EPCOT, had dinner in WS and walked around. Caught the boat at Int'l gateway to MGM, DH took younger DD back in to purchase an item in the TOT gift shop, then we went back to POFQ. YOu could hardly walk in MK. DH says he doesn't care, kids will be kept out of school during our October trip, we're going Tu-Sa instead. TOur parks & do HP during the week! Good luck!
