MK Main Street Pre-RD

We were just at WDW last week, and on our MK RD day, they didn’t let us into the tunnel under the Train Station until about 7:45 for an 8am opening. Last I knew, they were opening Main Street about an hour before the actual park open. Did they change it again, do they only open Main Street early when the park opens at 9, or was our experience a fluke thing?

It didn’t impact our day of touring or anything. However, I was a little disappointed because I liked being able to wander around Main Street and the Hub before the new opening show. Thanks in advance for any insights.

Ding, ding, ding! Yes, they only do the hour before when it is a 9:00 opening. Glad it didn't impact your day too much.

I wondered if that wasn’t the most likely explanation. Being a peak Easter/Spring Break week, MK opened at 8:00 every day while we were there. It definitely wasn’t a big deal, but I do enjoy that little bit of time to really bask in the Magic.
