MK Kiss Goodnight Info

I love the Kiss Goodnight. One time I stuck around to watch it despite it pouring down with rain. I was soaking by the time I returned to my resort but it was all worth it :)

No problem. I stand by mine too. Nothing wrong with different opinions
First of June happens to be when we always catch it because that's when dgd is with us
Maybe is photographers who haven't a clue what a good shot is manage better? Aren't concerned with proper angles or staging, just getting the fewest guests in the shot. You can get very few in your shot and get it so those in the shot are almost not visible. Like the way they can for the tangled lantern shots
Note I've never claimed they'll be devoid of other guests
We'll agree to disagree. And I know what kind of shots and how my DFiance works with in photos. I also have a background in photography and see things sometimes from other perspectives, but still say it's always too crowded for what the OP's DD is expecting for her photo.

I'll just ignore being insulted and move along.

BTW: The pro photographers that do post empty Main Street/Hub photos lately are ones that are very good with photo editing. Some also know security very well and are allowed to be the last people out to get "that shot."

She and I were wondering this as well. She is starting to get into photography and works with the communications department at her university (part of her major)~ and she has learned a lot about editing with her job so far. Not sure if she's good enough to accomplish this yet or not~ but she and I wondered if a lot of these pictures we're seeing have people edited out.
We'll see. I think it will be fun either way and maybe get some fun photos~ maybe with fewer people around anyway! :goodvibes

Do what! Where? Sorry but at no point did I insult you or mention you directly in any way. I take offense if someone says I did and didn't. I try very hard to never do that
If you thought the comment about those who don't know photography can manage that was not in reference to professionals but the opposite so it wasn't even talking about you are your DF. That was talking about me or others like me who just take them when there's as few people in the shot as possible and are happy

Besides I said exactly what you did, that we can disagree and doesn't mean anyone is wrong. Simply have different opinions

It's worth noting that "30 to 60 minutes after closing" can be confusing if there's a ticketed event happening that night.

For example, if it's a DAH night which lasts until midnight, then the *kiss* won't happen until 12:30 am at the earliest. But if you don't have a lanyard for DAH, you'll be ushered out of the park well before midnight.

We made a point of sticking around after DAH for it last year. It was absolutely magical. Simple, but magical. No spoilers.

I've seen it many times. It is one of those, either you get it moments or you don't get it moments. I and those with me over the years do get it. Always enjoyable.
I've been on MSUSA before MK opens and after it's cleared of all Guests, as well as all the other parks, and it never dawned on me that it was such a unique and special moment. Guess I should have stopped and smelled the roses. Too late now.

There was obviously a misunderstanding and I apologize for that. Thank you for making things clearer. :)

You can DEFINITELY get some pics with VERY few other Guests in them IF you are willing to hang around and be some of the last Guests to leave-it takes at least an hour after close for The Hub and Main Street USA to be close to clearing out.:)

I have posted this a number of times over many past years.......

From a post I made a few years ago.........

A small number of folks from the dis here were at MK back in 2001. We hung around well after the Kiss Goodnight. Sat around, chewing the fat in the hub. The only CM's we saw were a few security and late night maintenance. We started to drift down Main Street, probably upwards of 2 hours past closing, toward the exit. One of the suits asked us what resort/s we were staying at. We told him the 3 or 4 where we were staying. He replied, 'That's what we thought, your bus is outside waiting for all you guys'. We got on the bus, only us, and the single bus took us all to our respective resorts. We were the last ones out.

Nice memories.

I love the kiss goodnight. I try to record it every trip. I like to find myself a nice spot in the hub, sit down, and enjoy. Some times I'll sit there and watch it two, three times waiting for a recording the has minimal noise and people walking through. It's a nice and relaxing way to end the night, take in the surroundings, and it clears out a decent amount of people still in the park so it's not crazy when I do finally leave.
How difficult is it after kiss good night to get a bus or monorail back to the TCC. I so want to do this but I’m worried I’ll be stranded at MK! We go in June and often park is open until midnight.

See my post above You will not be stranded

I asked about this a year or two ago on here.... and let me say it brought out the trolls! I literally wanted to know the same info about it and nearly every one that commented on that thread said I need to be considerate of employees and leave at scheduled closing instead of sticking around to see the Kiss Goodnight/ it is rude to be that late and all forms of that. I am glad this thread has positive feedback, because my experience asking this question was awful. In the end of it I never got any answers.

Those people are full of baloney. I was the driver of the very last bus waiting for the last Guests to come out on many nights. Of course I always wondered what the heck are those people doing in there, it's 2 AM and the park closed two hours ago. But just like all of the other Closing CMs all over WDW, I was scheduled to be there until the park was clear and I was being paid to do it. If I didn't want to deal with it, I'd transfer to some other job. It was the last run I had to do and after I took the last Guests to their respective resorts, then I could go home. And those Guests were always appreciative that a bus was waiting for them. But I still wonder what people do 2 hours, sometimes more, after the park closes.

You ever had a TS meal at Disney? Considering they take ADR right up until closing time, taking 2 hours to be seated, served and eat is not a stretch at all.

I bet you heard and saw some interesting things :)

I know that isn't supposed to happen. Guests without a DAH wristband won't be able to ride rides, but aren't kicked out the same way as with a Halloween or Christmas party.
