Hi everyone!

I am in the process of planning my DW trip for the end of October!
I am really interested in going to the Halloween Party. I am on the hunt for a costume but I wanted to know how the weather is at night. Is it cold? I want to pick a comfortable costume and don't want to cover it up if it's really cold.

Any other tips for the halloween party?

In 2013, it was hotter for our Oct trip than our Sept trip. :-)
We've always done the party in Sept. First year I was Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I made my own costume and wore tights under my dress. Perfect weather that year. It rained but was otherwise awesome.
Second year we all wore super hero t shirts and whatever bottoms we felt like. I was a little warm in denim capris.
Last year I was Kevin the Bird (black tights, blue tank top and tulle tutu) from Up and DH was Russell. We were both great with temp. But soaked to the bone.

Moral of the story: take great ponchos

Impossible to tell this far in advance. Plan for something with some flexibility if comfort is important to you (add or remove a jacket, etc)

Its usually not cold, but it can be. It can also feel like the face of the sun even once the sun sets. Florida is so unpredictable. Pick light fabrics in case its hot and plan to layer if needed.

We went 10/23/14 and by the end of the party, my DD (age 4) was a little chilly in her Rapunzel dress but managed fine. I was comfortable in short sleeves and capris and DS had long sleeves so he was fine.

It kinda depends on material the costumes made of i'd say. My first MNSSHP it was a heat wave and i had to get one of the cooling clothes because i was in scarf, gloves, cloak, and wearing heavy clothes under that. This year I was fine in a long sleeved edwardian dress.

I'd think of what you'd want to go as and then cater the costume to that.

We went the week of Halloween this year.

On our party night (and most of the week) was about 80 during the day and 70 at night. We wore costume t-shirts and shorts and we're fine! But I did bring LS shirts/sweatshirts just in case. I think the key is to make sure your costume can transition well from day (party starts at 4:00) to late night (we left a little before 12:00).

I will say that our last day of that same trip, just a few days after our MNSSHP the high was 60 and the low was 45. Quite a difference!! Bring layers!
