We are wanting to watch the MK fireworks one night from outside the park. We're open to restaurants or any viewing area - just nothing fancy because we are traveling with a 5 and 2 year old and won't have the ability to change clothes after we leave HS. Thanks for any input! (We're going in May, if that matters.)

Thanks!!!!

Some people like the TTC by the ferry boat station but I don't think you will hear wishes

I liked the view from the beach at the Polynesian but wished the audio were a little louder! A group of men walked right up behind us and talked the entire time. It was difficult to hear, but a relaxing atmosphere otherwise.

Bring towels or a blanket to sit on so you can be close to the speakers. It had rained and everything was wet when we were there.

Thanks all! I'm going to explore those. Is there any casual restaurant recommended? The kids will be tired, and I'm thinking dessert will be a good bribe to keep them awake and pleasant. :wizard:

The speakers are across the path from the beach. The closer you are to the water the less the sound.

Captain Cooks is the quick serve restaurant at the Poly. You could grab a dole whip or one of the cupcakes and head out to the beach to watch the show. They have good food in general if you are wanting a meal. Also, Kona café (grab a reservation) would be a good place to get drinks and desserts. As one of the previous posters said, the music is not very loud so get close to a speaker if you can.

The Contempo Cafe would be a good place to buy some desserts, and then walk out to the observation deck on the 4th Floor. The monorails go right over your head which the kids might find to be pretty cool.
