MK Firework Dessert Party

I would hope by Monday they will announce an extended run. Won't they have to for people to reserve it? It's a week away from ending.

well i just checked for the 4th time and we are booked and paid for the 29th aug for the dessert party

Good to hear! :goodvibes Thanks for posting.

I have to call about my son's allergy so I will be checking again within the next couple days. So far everything seems to be a go! :yay:

why not? if people are willing to pay for it, why wouldn't disney sell it?

Because Hallowishes happens during the party, and you need tickets for that. So people who book the dessert party will also need to book MNSSHP. And they won't. They'll say they should be able to stay because of the buffet, even though it's a ticketed event night.

As for releasing it, when they first announced it, it was announced, then bookings opened up three or four days before the first night. Maybe the same thing will happen - meaning Monday or Tuesday of this week. Good luck everyone!

With September starting the MNSSHP it would be difficult to have the dessert party only on some nights and hte party on others. Makes sense to only have 1 event going on at any one time. Who knows, maybe we will see it again in January or next summer :confused3

Sure hope not. I'm anxiously awaiting an announcement that they will offer it, at least in November, on the non-MVMCP nights. I'm sure there are many families that would love to do one on one night and the other on the next, or some that just won't put out the amount of money required for the big party, but would be more than capable of doing the small one.

I was there, on the 17th, and while we were there, we were given a flyer with a number on it to reserve for another date. We were told by one of the CMs and a manager that it was being extended until further notice. I haven't unpacked yet so I don't know where my flyer is, but I'm sure I brought one home. I'll try to see if I can find it some time today. I hope I have it.

Thanks for the info! We are all awaiting so eagerly, hopefully the number you have may be a better link into the mysterious dessert party reservations! :lmao:

We were there on Aug 15th and let me just say that it was worth every penny! The desserts were so scrumptious! It started to rain shorly before 10 and I was thinking even if wishes was cancelled, I wouldn't have cared - it was worth it just for the desserts! Anyway, I asked the CM who was checking us in if it was going to be continued past August, and she said as of right now it is going to be extended at least through January!

I wish they would announce it!:headache:

I need to know if we are doing this or if I am ordering a cake for CP on the 7th!!!!!!:confused3

We were there on the 20th and did not receive such a flyer. (Not a big deal really, since we won't be back to WDW any time soon.)

While we enjoyed the party, it is not something we would rush out to do again. The check-in process was a disaster! We lined up at 8:45PM (the line was already up one side of the ramp and halfway down the other) and they didn't get themselves organized and start checking people in until after 9:00PM (at which point the line continued out of the TTNS). Up until that point, two CMs were trying to do some sort of crowd control or something, whatever it was it didn't appear to be effective or productive.

We were seated in Section A right at the buffet table - which was between us and the view of the castle. We would have had a very obstructed view of the fireworks had we chosen to remain seated. The desserts were plentiful (constantly replaced until the start of Wishes) and quite good. The choc. covered strawberries were not mushy. The view of Wishes from the railing was great - but definitely a different experience from viewing them head on from the Hub or Main Street. Spectro was supposed to be on that night, but we didn't see it or hear it - I think it may have been cancelled due to lightning in the area, but I'm not sure.

I found a pic of the flyer distributed in July :

if it's this flyer the PP refers to, it has no phone number on it:sad2:
I think they may announce it is being extended at the last date available...

Crossing my fingers:flower3:

That's the flyer we got on the 13th, the price is more than I paid for our dessert party. I think it's a new flyer with an increase in price for the extended dates. I hope it goes on in December as we will definitely do it again.

I booked on the first date they were taking reservations and attended at 7/15 party. That is the price I paid.

My mistake, sorry. I don't know why I'd got $16 in my mind but just checked my bank statement and you are correct. makes my theory of being extended pretty feeble now.

Ok, I found my flyer and it is the same as the one posted above, however mine states the (407) WDW-DINE number. So, I called and mentioned to Serena (CM) that I had just returned home and we attended the party and while we were there I had been told that the party was being extended and yada yada yada. So, Serena put me on hold for about 3 minutes and then came back on to tell me that I could go on and pencil it in on my schedule for my Dec. trip, and that as of now "No official announcement has been made at this time, but to go on and put it on the plan." And that by the time I call next week for my ADRs at 90 Days, it will be open to book for Dec. Hope that helps.

This is killing me. Was this online to book or did you have to call for this "trial" run that is supposed to end at the end of the month?
