Has anyone done this recently? I'm contemplating doing it with DS one morning. Do I need reservations? Any info is appreciated :)

Call 1-407-WDW-TOUR and book it. It is a morning event, at the MK, about 2 hours long, costs $25 per person including children and is prepaid with a credit card. It's basically a wild romp through the Magic Kingdom with a nice surprise at the end. It's great family fun;enjoy!

and with a AP, you get a discount! We did it over Thanksgiving and it was a lot of fun.

Do you think it would be age appropriate and fun for a DD14? You know everything is dumb at that age. Then when you have kids you become a kid again.

My 14 yo DD did it with us. She enjoyed it but not as much as her 3 younger brothers. Here are some photos from our tour.

Had to book a trip as an award for an employee of my husband and I booked this for their two DD 6 and 8. They loved it and said it was one of the best parts of the trip. It was a first trip to Disney for their Grandparents that took them, and they loved it as well. I booked it for them about 60 days out and did not have difficulty getting a spot for 4.

DD loved it when she was 7. I'd guess that most 14 year olds would be putting up with it as it's definitely geared towards younger kids, but you never know - I'm sure there are lots of 14 year olds who have enjoyed it.......

We just did the Family Magic Tour last week with DD5 and DS3. DD5 absolutely LOVED the entire thing and got to sit next to Wendy at Mickey's Philharmagic. There were 5 kids between the ages of 5 and 10 who all loved the tour. One of the boy's older teenage siblings (boy and girl about 15 or 16) were bored and embarrassed by some of the silly things we had to do. They were good sports but it was obvious they would rather be elsewhere.

DS (just turned 3) was a royal pain in the butt and I wish I hadn't brought him. The story was way over his head and he was so grumpy about not being able to ride the rides we were passing that he didn't even get into the fun stuff the other kids were doing. We did the tour on our 5th day in the parks. There was also a 2-yr-old sibling who was unhappy most of the tour.

This is a great, fun tour, but I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 4 or over maybe 12. DH and I both really enjoyed the tour but agreed it would have been better for one of us to take DD and the other to stay with DS and ride the rides. From what I could tell, the other adults loved the tour too.

We did this last May and it was the highlight of our trip!! I used my Disney Visa to book this and got 20%off.

this was a blast. i am 26, and i didn't mind the silliness. of course, i am an overgrown kid, er, princess. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

my twin sisters are 10 and had a ball. my 22 year old cousin i think felt a little silly, but still had fun, and my dad was a good sport, and my mom loved it. won't give away details, but very cute. little ones especially will flip out over the surprise at the end. all ears net has several reviews up in the tour section.

We did this tour in Dec. and it was great! Our kids are 6 & 4. I'd say the oldest child on our tour was about 12. My kids are still talking about what a great time we had!

How early can you book this tour? Is it a maximum of 90 days out, or 180 days, or a year?

We did the FMT this past October. My kids were 9, 6, & 4 at the time & loved it!

This sounds like a fantastic tour. I have never done any of the Disney tours and would really like to do this one. Does anyone know how quickly it fills up. We are going at the end of Feb. do you think all the days will be filled up? Also how many people go on the tour at once? Is it small enough for the little ones to get some personal attention from the characters? I've heard a couple people talk about how the characters gave their children some one on one time and was wondering if they were just really lucky or does that sort of thing happen often? TIA for any infor anyone can give me!! :goodvibes

We did the tour Dec 9th. My 2 daughter enjoyed it so much they want to do it again this Oct :)

there were around 10-12 people in our group.

We did this a couple of weeks ago and had a great time! It was me, DD10, and DS2. At first DS2 was shy but, before too long he was really getting into it! DD10 thought this was the best part of the entire trip! There were 3 other girls there that were around her age! They all had a great time together!

I am a huge Peter Pan fan and have tried to not force my children into being Peter fans too! But, after this tour my son who had cried on Pirates of the Caribbean the day before, insisted that he wanted a Peter Pan hat. He then marched to the pirates ride and we rode it 4 more times that week! He was Peter Pan and was ready to take on the Pirates!!! I would say that they both loved it!!

It helped for DD that there were other girls her age, otherwise she probably would have been less likely to act silly. But, since they were doing it, it was ok!

DH missed the tour and was really sad! He would have loved it and would have been the biggest goof of them all. We will do it again within the next few years!

There is also a DVC discount and children under 3 are free! So, for the 3 of us it was only $43 after taxes!!

I have a ds almost 9 and am looking for a tour this trip! :confused3 But, I am wondering if the adults have to act silly too? :rotfl: My dh would probably enjoy seeing ds enjoy it, but he won't want to act silly himself! :scared1: I would love some input on how the adults "acted" on this tour? Also advise on wether a 9yo ds would enjoy it? I am thinking about Mickeys Magical Milestones Tour also!

Well, they let everyone know up front that EVERY one participates! They will make it a point to put people in the front if they don't. Now, everyone in our group played along so, I don't know if they will really do that to adults who don't play along. I would make sure to ask when you call to book the tour. They should be able to tell you for sure!

It's a lot of fun!! So, I say go for it!
