MK Evening EMH-would you do it?

We arrive in Orlando on Sunday, March 12th at 4pm for a seven night stay. I think that by the time we get settled at the resort it will be at least 6pm. MK hours are 9-9 Sunday w/ Evening EMH. AK has morning EMH on Monday. I know we won't want to get up early on Monday morning if we go to MK on Sunday night. What would you do if you were us: 1) go to evening EMH at MK on Sunday night and skip morning EMH at AK on Monday; 2) go to another park on Sunday night and come back to our resort early enough that we will be ready to hit AK EMH on Monday morning; or 3) skip the parks and hang out at the resort on Sunday evening.
Any input would be appreciated.

Kids or no kids?
Where are you staying?

I can give you this:
MK evenings tend to be crowded, but you are going at a moderately level time crowd-wise. If you were going Easter week, I'd have said no way, but I would be tempted.

However, if you want to ride Everest, I would shoot for morning EMH at AK.

If you have kids I would suggest exploring the resort that evening and maybe a nice dinner to get things started.

Or, an early night at Downtown Disney.

My opinion might change depending on where you are staying and what ages are the kids if any.

Thanks for the reply tjmouse. I'm going to WDW with my husband, my son who is 13, and my daughter who is 11.

I would do it with the understanding you will see and do very little during MK's EMH evening. I would also plan my AK day for EMH evening rather than morning, if at all possible during your stay.

But the truth is, EMH is generally MUCH busier than you think it will be at MK, and not really worth busting your back to get there. That said, if there's a EMH evening at MK later in your stay, it might be worth doing. But I wouldn't go out of my way to do it the first day, unless you have passes that cover every day of your stay. Then I'd consider it, but still wouldn't go with an eye toward doing many attractions.

*Whew* Did that make sense??

it was not busy at all for us in the fall

we stayed til 11pm our first night

there was no way we could just stare at the castle in the distance...

we had to go

you are going at a higher attendance time though so it could be a toss up

I know you need to plan getting to AK early though, we got there late and it clsed at 5 or 6

not enough time to see it!!!!

Well, with kids that age, it would be possible. If they are going to be well rested when you arrive, (like if they sleep in the car or on the plane), then I would ask them if they want to do it. I know when I was that age, I could. Now, forget it!

They might enjoy just staying at the resort and exploring or swimming more.

I too agree about AK evenings if you can catch one of those.

I will NEVER do evening EMH at MK again. We went the last week in August and the crowds were very managable, we did evening EMH every night they were offered and loved it. When we got to MK man, I have never seen so many people in my life (and yes, I've been to DW in June, July, week after Christmas)!

Any other park and I'd say absolutly, MK no way. It was still packed at midnight when the park closed!
