MK EMH Christmas Day at 8 or 7a.m.??

I have been reading about extra magic hours throughout past years Christmas weeks and most places have said that MK opened for EMH at 7:00a.m. However, EMH for Christmas Day 2014 just became available on Disney's extra magic hour calendar and they say that EMH at MK start at 8:00a.m. and the park opens at 9:00a.m. Do you think that they will change this to 7:00a.m. at a later date and are just putting 8:00a.m. to be safe or do you think that they won't open as early this year? While I don't plan on going to MK on Christmas Day because of the crowds (planning on Epcot), I am thinking that the rest of the week (12/26-12/31) probably won't open at 7a.m. either then since Christmas is one of the busiest days. I was hoping for the 7 a.m. opening so that it would have a bit more time of less crowded times. Anyone think they will change it to 7 a.m.?

On our two Xmas week trips, MK opened at 7 for resort guests the entire week. I highly recommend AK on 12/25. Just a suggestion.

I think it's pretty common for them to adjust hours that week as it gets closer, and historically it has almost always been 7am EMH. I'm hoping that's the case this year at least - we'll be there just a few days before Christmas and would love that extra hour in the morning!

Yep. Happens every year. EMH will be at 7AM for the whole week and then will have a "regular" opening of 8AM.

Thank you for the suggestion! I did think about doing AK on 12/25 thinking it would be the least crowded but we have the mindset of having a more relaxing day for Christmas and not worrying about whether we ride much so since were staying at the beach club, we figure that would make it an easier/ relaxing day to just go over to epcot early in the morning and come back for the afternoon for the pool if its warm out or just relax. If we change our minds while there though and want a more active day then we will definitely be heading to Animal Kingdom! From your experience, was Animal Kingdom significantly less busy on Christmas than maybe the surrounding days? We are planning on AK for December 27th as of now. Do you think Christmas would be less busy than the 27th at AK?
