One of the days we are going to be at MK is a day with MVMCP (we have decided to pass on it). It is December and park hours aren't out yet, however, the pattern seems to be it will also be an AM EMH.

What is the park like on those days? Do people go early and stay until the bitter end to get the most out of their day? Or, do they avoid the park since the day is cut short? Or, do they go early and leave and go elsewhere?

I wondered if the 4:00 - 6:00 pm window is crazy with the day visitors and influx of MVMCP attendees.

Anyone with experience with this (especially for parties later in the season, this one will be a Thursday and the second to last party), please let me know your thoughts. It will help me with my planning and ADR's.

Thanks!

Well, FIRST....you need to rethink your decision to PASS on the MVMCP. It's amazingly wonderful.

Secondly, I can only answer for my family, but we would go early for the EMH, go back to the resort in the afternoon to take naps and relax/freshen up for the evening, and then back for dinner at the LTT and stay till late at the MVMCP.

I think crowds would be pretty high. The AM emh would bring in extra crowds, and then people would start heading in for MVMCP around 4 - 5 in the afternoon. At least that is what we did in years past when we had tickets for either MVMCP or MNSSHP - we would not use a park day and rest up, and then head into the party at around 4:30 even though it officially wouldn't start until the evening. Maybe with the MMW tickets that they do now you wouldn't see as many people coming in at that time since they would probably already have a park ticket for the day anyway, but still it seems people start coming in earlier and earlier for the evening parties so they can do some rides first and save more of the party time to see the special events.

Hey Spartan, I live in Metro Detroit too! Did you find that during that 4:00 - 6:00 time when both "day visitors" and "party people" could be in the park that it was unusually crowded and busy? I am trying to decide if we just want to go that morning or try to come back for a few hours after my kids nap.

I really struggled with the MVMCP but have decided against it. I want a Disney experience, not a Christmas experience and that is what that party is (and should be). If we went, it would truly be to supplement our MK experience and being that our only day to go would be 12/21 and it is the second to last party, we have ditched the idea!

Anyway, let me know your experience! Thanks!
