MK day + private event MK night strategy ??

My planned day at MK will be Oct 22. The park will be closing at 6 for a special event that runs 8-11. If all goes according to plan, I will be there for the special event as well.

With that information, how would you set your strategy for the park during the day and\or evening. 7D will be open then, so that's when I plan to ride that. Plus I haven't gotten any FPs for any of the mountains for the day because I'm thinking I'll ride then at night.

Any idea how much we could do in 3 hours with a smallish crowd.

I would double dip, honestly. Crowds will be lower because of the reduced hours during the day. And a lot of people might have the same thoughts as you about riding the mountains during the event.

I would game plan for regular hours and just treat the private event as an extra.

You do make a valid point that others may be considering doing the mountains that evening as well. For some reason, that thought didn't enter my mind. This will be a 21& over crowd, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.
