MK closing at 4:30pm, should I change my plans

My FP+ window is. opening soon and MK shows a closing time of 4:30pm on the day we are intending to tour it. Seriously complicating matters is that I have both a BOG reservation AND a CRT reservation for that day. I know hours aren't set in stone until we get closer, but I'm worried this means that it's the cast member appreciation event and it really is going to close t 4:30pm. Should I be changing my plans for FP+? I hate that this may screw me out of my ADRs that I woke up so early to get months ago.

If your ADRs are after the scheduled closing, they should work with you to change it.

With a 4:30 close time, I don't like your odds of it changing.

That said, if you want a lower crowd day in the MK, this would be it.

Do this. we were there for the Cast appreciation Day in 2016 and MK crowds were pretty low as those without PH would not choose MK that day. We had all our FP+ for later in the day at another park.
One tip, plan to leave MK at least an hour before closing. we waited too long and the buses were packed with people going to other parks. we got a ton done that day because of low crowds.

We dropped our lunch ADR that day since hours are so short. We also switched our day from epcot to MK because i want to take advantage of the low crowds. We are going to make our FP+ at DHS starting around 5 and hop there around 4.

Skip the ADRs and enjoy the short (relatively, at least) waits.

We went on that day in 2016. We walked onto everything in Adventureland and Frontierland in the morning and had minimal waits after that. Get their at rope drop and park hop somewhere else in the evening. I wouldn’t do 2 dining reservations though.

If the opening time is pushed back to 8am, then the ADR doesn't do anything for us. In any event, with a short day, I'd stick with QS unless you have other MK days planned during your trip.

The odds a zero and I would expect it to be a hard close. It's a pretty elaborate event held for those CMs celebrating a milestone anniversary and requires a fair amount of preparation.

I would definitely drop BOG. I wouldn't go out of my way to keep that.

CRT I can see being a disappointment to miss for kids.

I would keep the MK day though. Lowest crowds you'll probably see your whole trip

I’m hoping for an 8 am opening. Crowds will be even lower!

If you won't have park hoppers and that is your only only day to go this trip I would switch days. I find MK especially lovely at night and I would hate to miss it.

BUT you would be able to have much shorter waits that day!

I'm going to MK that day too, lol. I think there's going to be a large DIS crowd! Park hoppers make WDW life more magical!

We`re definitely rope dropping MK that day. Even 7DMT should have much shorter waits than usual?
