MK closing at 4:30pm, should I change my plans

I'm going to be there that day too. I switched my itinerary realizing this from epcot day. we have park hoppers but it may work out anyway for us to leave at 3:30, eat an early dinner at disney springs, and call it a night or hop to another park. the other parks may be busier but who knows. I have a late breakfast/brunch adr at gf cafe. at 11 a.m. Should I keep it or just have qs in mk? Can't decide. I appreciate the comment re. leaving an hour earlier, I will do that. Maybe park hop, maybe ds to catch an early dinner, can't decide that either. But i like the idea about evening fp's in another park too. good advice. I will wear my dis tshirt that day for sure!

I would not take the time to go to the Grand Floridian. I would drop that ADR.

Excellent! That's the last day of our W&D trip, and we're set to be in MK until 2pm.

ya, it's clear. we need to all wear our dis shirts. !!! excellent advice , i still have one question to follow up on. some of you are trying to get fp's for the evening at another park. You don't think we will need them in the afternoon/late morning at mk?

We have Keys to the Kingdom that day, followed by CRT so hoping for light crowds to squeeze in after lunch. If I was you, I'd drop one ressie for sure.

I would rather use them at a PM park. Quality over quantity.

I've read it's pretty slow up until the afternoon. If it starts getting busy we will eat, do some shows or just leave.

When we go in August we always do AM park, midday break and PM park with FP+. It works great since crowds are lower. I'm going to use this approach on 11/5.

I am going to jump in and agree that I would ditch BOG or CRT, whichever one is the least important to you, and enjoy the low crowds. If this is your only MK day I would consider switching parks.

We went on that day in 2016. We walked onto everything in Adventureland and Frontierland in the morning and had minimal waits after that. Get their at rope drop and park hop somewhere else in the evening. I wouldn’t do 2 dining reservations though.

We were also there on the Cast Appreciation Party 4:30 close day in 2016. SOO worth it for the low crowds. Around 3:00/3:30, we did Space Mountain several times in a row with about a 10-minute wait each time.

I can drop the BOG and probably will, but I HAVE to keep the CRT. I have another MK day planned for this trip, so hopefully that's enough.

I'm actually thinking of doing HDDR as well. I'm wondering if the 4pm show is the better way to go - like leave after the parade, and assume the park will be getting crowded

No, not the event - not that lucky. I'm targetting MK for lower crowds on that day.

HDDR is not a bad idea for after MK that day. We already have it booked for 11/3. I thought about switching plans but we're going to stick with our original plan.

We are staying at WL so we're planning to leave the park at 4pm, go back to WL and then head to Fort Wilderness for 6:15 Hoop! Can't wait!!!
