MK and Downtown Disney X-mas shops...

How well stocked sre the Christmas shops at the Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney in December?

I'm going the first weekend in December and planning on getting some WDW ornaments for family and coworkers. Is the selection still good at this time or are the choices dwindling being close to X-mas?

Also, where is the Christmas shop in the Magic Kingdom?

We've been twice in December and have found the Christmas shops to be very well stocked. The shop at MK is just around the corner from the Liberty Tree Tavern, and across from the Hall of Presidents. There is also a Christmas shop in MGM, in a tiny little place kind of down by Pizza Planet.

They're very well stocked year round, don't worry. The only thing I was disappointed with the one at MK, was that it didn't have the Santa hats with Goofy ears. Really wanted one of those

The Christmas shops are my favorite. I could spend hours in there looking around. I have found they always have a good selction.

We have always found the stores to be well stocked. We love the store near Liberty Tree Tavern. Really nice store to walk through and then ship your package to the front of the park or back to your resort!

I don't know if it was permanent, but on my last trip at the beginning of March this store was closed but they had a new store/section of a store on Sunset Blvd on the right before you get to Tower of Terror.

I love the Christmas shop at DTD! It's my favorite shop at DTD. But the only bummer part is: EACH time we go, we always forget to go on the first day we arrive, so we ALWAYS miss the deadline for the personalizations on the orniment.

I think especially around Christmas time, the wait time is even longer! When we went in May, I thought I was ahead of the game and went there to order the personalization orniment for this Christmas, but the finish date was TWO days past our stay!

Sorry to get off the topic...but yea, I think the shops are stocked pretty well during Christmas.

Here's a tip on the personalized ornaments....

There is a shop at AK (across from Flame Tree BBQ) and they do personalized ornaments. I was able to pick up my ornament in 2 hours (I instead had it shipped back to my resort) and that was mid-December! It was fantastic!!!
