What suggestions do you all have for touring around the MK. I had read to go to the left when I enter. Do you all have any tips?
Chris

Get there before the park opens, and do Fantasy Land first. This part of the park gets congested pretty quickly.

After that get fast passes for either Splash or Big Thunder Mountain.

HTH!

I was wanting to know the answer to this question also, is it possible to always go left and cover everything??

Never tried it....sorry.

Are you going during a SLOW time? I think just starting in a direction and going may work in the World Showcase, but for MK I think it could mean A LOT of lines....JMO.

Going left will not work if you want to ride any of the rides in Fantasyland. Even on a fairly slow day these rides can get some pretty long waits and only a few have fast passes. The problem with something like that is a good % of the guests on any given day will also have heard this and be using this plan.

Get the book The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World

and/or join www.tourguidemike.com

You need one, and I use both, to learn how to tour the parks. It will add much more value to your visit than anything else you could buy. If I had to pick only one I would go with the Website (Tour Guide Mike) but I spend a ton of time online. The book is also very good.

Definitely get the Unofficial guide. You can also go to touring plans.com and for 6.95 get access to dozens of touring plans. They will also customize a plan for you. My best recommendation is try to get there as early as possible and if you have the time, alot for at least 2 days at MK.

Have a great time.

It depends how old your kids are. Mine are older so we head straight to splash mountain and big thunder mountain. Then backtrack a wee bit to adventure land.

Now if you have wee ones then head right to fantasyland.

I agree with going very early and doing Fantasyland first. I have read where someone did everything in Fantasyland in about an hour and had the rest of the day to do the rest of the park.

My biggest advice is to avoid the temptation. DO NOT GO TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY!!! It is just tooo crowded. You will not get anything accomplished. We went on Tuesday back in June and the crowds were unbearable so we hopped over to EPCOT (I believe) and had a great day. We went back to the MK on Wednesday and we were able to do everything that we wanted and left before 5:00 pm. It was more fun because it was less crowded.

Have fun!!

Bubba is right on the mark. Do not go to MK on a Monday or Tuesday. Everyone starts their vacation there. Try and hold off until Wednesday and you will be so much better off.

We normally do MGM on Monday, EPCOT on Tuesday and then MK on Wednesday and then the rest of our time is pretty much spent at EPCOT.

Although this trip we are going to go to AK. Seems like we never have time left for AK.

It depends who you are going with. Do you have children in your group? If so, then head to Fantasyland first.

For us, we hop on the train and head back to Splash Mountain. Ride it about 4-5 times before the line starts to get long and then move on.
