Does anyone know what days and times Miyuki the candy artist is in Japan? I haven't been to WDW since March 2001 but DH and I are taking DD 9mos for a quick 2 day trip in May. I think we will be at Epcot on mother's day the 11th, if not then the 12th. I'd really like to get my daughter one of the candy animals she makes. Has anyone seen her recently? Ya'll know what I"m talking about, right????:D

I think her off days were Friday & Saturday when we were at WDW 2 weeks ago. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

I don't know when she is there - but here are some suggestions to get you children the candy.

Be there early (maybe 15-20 minutes). Not everyone in the park knows about her. When you see her come out of the Japanese department store, have you children go and stand beside her cart. Your children will be right in front.

I have twins who stood in front and both got candy made from her. She made a dog and an alligator. The candy was beautiful, but not real tasty.

We still talk about her and how good she was at making different animals. (especially when we have the play dough out).

"wake up candy" "doggie says: hello" not sure which days were her days off, we saw her last thursday. we saw her first show of the day which was at 1:50pm. she is very entertaining and talented. can't comment on the taste of the candy as our daughter has kept the dolphin from last year and the pink kitty from this year. she says they are too beautiful to eat.

TGM has her hours listed as Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 12:40.

She is very entertaining and fun! She made me a hummingbird when I was there 2 years ago. I didn't know she was there, until I caught her cleaning up at the end of her show and asked when she would be out again. She told me the time, and she said she would remember my face. And she did! I tried a bit of the candy, not so good. But my poor hummingbird fell apart since then. it is too beautiful to eat! I would say she is one of those hidden secrets of WDW... I think hardly anyone knows she is there unless they see it happen!

Steve Soares lists her hours this week as:

Sunday-Thursday at 12:55, 2:00, 3:00, 3:55, 5:00 & 6:10pm
Length of show: 20 minutes

I doubt that the days of the week she works will change, but times do.

I have heard about this in the past but we never remember to stop by! Hopefully we'll remember next week! Thanks for the info everyone:D .

When we were there last July, I couldn't wait to stop by and see her make the candy. I remembered her from our trip in 2000 and really wanted something made.

Everyone is right in saying get there EARLY! We went and waited 20 minutes, right up at the booth - people tend to get pushy when she arrives, and will cut right in front of you, which is why we stood right up there so she knew we waited. People tend to get rude and cut in front of others just to get a piece of candy made!

I had a monkey made last year - she is hilarious, and I love watching and listening to her!

This is one of my favorite things in Epcot. She is not to be missed!

We took pictures of her during her show in Jan. She is really amazing. Can not figure how to put pictures in msg but if you would like to see a few of them I send me a msg and I will try to email them to you. She continually talks through the whole process about making the candy come to life and it really does.

I have never seen this! Where exactly is she and how do I find out the dates and times she will be there? Someone mentioned Steve Soares site, what is that address?

When I saw her in March 2001, she was right by the department store entrance at the very end ( the end closest to the main sidewalk area). That is where she sets up her show. Sorry but I don't know steve Soares website address. Hope this helped though! She should definitely not be missed.
