Hi there. Could anyone advise whether it is possible to pay say 2 meals OOP and the other 4 meals for our family using the DDP table credits at a cheaper Table Service restaurant such as Beaches and Cream?Or do they insist you use either DDP or OOP to pay the entire bill? This way my DH and I could save 2 credits to use at a signature restaurant? TIA

You can mix your payment methods. Just let you server know in advance.

Have a great trip! pixiedust:

We did this at various restaurants in November last year. DD10 was classed as an adult on the plan but most TS places she didnt want what was offered on the menu so we just used 2 TS for us and payed OOP for her kids meal, this enabled us to have more TS meals later in the week. We just notified the server as to how many credits we will use, we even did this in Tepan Edo and had no problem.

Just agreeing with PP. Just tell the server. We did this at Sci Fi. We had 2 adults and 1 child. We ordered 2 hamburgers and 2 milkshakes (one as drink, one as dessert). We used one adult credit to pay for the hamburger and 2 milkshakes. Paid OOP for the other hamburger. This was plenty of food for me, DH, and DS-5. I used the other adult and child credit for a character breakfast after my DH had to go back to work (he wasn't there the whole trip).

I was going to start a new thread but I think I can ask my question here since it relates. DH and I are eating at Hollywood Brown Derby for our signature restaurant and was wondering if we could do something similar to what the OP posted. I'm thinking of ordering their "famous cobb salad" for dinner but since that meal only costs $16.99, I don't really think it will be worth it to use 2 TS credits. Instead, I'm thinking of paying out of pocket for that meal (if I decide to order it) and DH would use the normal 2 credits to order his meal. Is this something that we could do? Based on the previous answers I would think yes, but I always like to double check! :woohoo:

Definitely better to pay OOP if you are only ordering the Cobb Salad, one of our favorites at HBD. Just let the server know your DH will be using dining credits and you will be paying OOP.

We've mixed and matched OOP & Dining Credits during our stay many times... We like Sci-Fi Dine-In, but don't want to waste a sit down credit on it (same with 50's Prime Time). We usually opt for a character breakfast in place of that as we get more "bang for our buck" that way...

The only thing you can't do is pay one credit plus cash for a 2 credit meal. If you are at a 2 credit restaurant, you must have 2 credits to spend for a meal, or pay OOP for the meal.

In a sort of related question, can you use a table service credit at a quick service place? I know it is not the best value, but if a day or two, we are in a hurry it might be quicker that way.
