Mixed payment -- DDP and OOP?

Original questions edited. I realized the original question doesn't ask what I really wanted to ask.

Let's say there are two people in a group, both on Dining Plan. In one TS meal, can one order full meal (drink, entree, and dessert), while the other one order an appetizer or something, share them between the two, and only use one TS credit (and pay for the appetizer oop)? Or would they charge 1 TS credit for each and every person in the group, no matter what they order? I heard a lot about sharing a QS meal, but I'm not sure about sharing a TS meal.

Sharing meals is generally fine (except for all-you-can-eat) if you are sharing them between your party who are on the dining plan. You can pay OOP on a split check for an appetizer, or anything else you want off-plan.

Last week I was talking to a manager of a resort restaurant (general chit chat) and a server interrupted and asked him if a family who had an extra QS credit could use it for an appetizer during their TS meal.
The manager said sure.

Although it isn't 'allowed' and isn't the best use of a credit, it was convienent for the family and the manager was very gracious and voila...happy guest.

So in short, you could always ask.
