Mixed Nuts Part 2

Oko, I have to tell a cute kid story. I try not to because I know y'all have kids of your own and no one wants to hear them. But this one still has me laughing. I'm working with a first grader on handwriting. Here's how it goes:

kid: Can I ask you a question not about handwriting.

Me: sure

Kid: today I heard my mom say that my cousin is a les-bean.

me: (doing all I can not to laugh at her but not sure what my response should be)

it gets better.....

kid: I was just wondering if you could tell me what kind of a bean that is.

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

are any lurkers familiar with Rhode Island?

Well, I remember going to the Ann & Hope in Warwick on the 1st day of a sale & seeing the hordes of mamas wearing as blouses those short smocks made out of cotton, you know like the ones that they wear in the factories?

WOW! talk about a look! :rotfl2:

I tell her to move approximately every 5 minutes. She keeps saying, but until I find someone I actually WANT to live with (rather than just someone who needs a roommate in an ad or something) I'm just going to wind up with someone with another set of wIerd issues. I say no matter what, no one else will have a "Sup Jesus" painting, so it's gotta be better than the current situation.

and keeps the temp too high and has overgrown weeds running up the porch and well you know....
I can't believe she doesn't know anyone that she works with who needs a roomate.

Oh humor me PJ I am an old lady and my mind is going! It was ok, but 45 minutes away from Joyce Fields - I don't know why we stayed so far away.

You should have consulted with me first. I could have told you where to stay.

Teachers wear those vests. They're so godawful ugly.

I'm not convinced that she's actively pursuing it but there's nothing more I can do to help the situation so I just listen to her vent.

OMG, too funny!! :rotfl2: I need to tell my lesbian GF about that. That wouldn't be offensive, would it?

I LOVE this kid. She cracks me up on a daily basis. If I'm ever in a bad mood I just go work with her because she would cheer anybody up.

I don't think it would be. I mean, the kid was perfectly innocent in the whole thing, she really just wanted to know about her cousin the bean!

Has anyone seen Oreos with the new easy open pull tab? How convenient these are for my evening cookie consumption!!

I hope yr taste in motels/hotels is better than yr sister's! :scared:

Teachers wear those vests. They're so godawful ugly...

No!
No! No! Baby Peej DO NOT WEAR ONE OF THOSE APRON-Y THINGS!

Do not let any of those 'kindly' women approach you with a gift of one!

DSis (who teaches elementary) has a school wardrobe full of 'character' sweaters & blouses, like Quacker Factory stuff.
When she made a trip to the ER last year, she insisted on changing out her sweater before hopping into the ambulance :rotfl:
Apparently, she was sporting some big, glittery dancing pumpkins number :rotfl2:

Sheesh, she used to be the hoTtest thing in three towns!

BTW, she's fine

I hope yr taste in motels/hotels is better than yr sister's! :scared:
This is my sister's home we're talking about. Her place of residence!! That's why it's so bad. She needs to get out.

No!

Don't worry, I will never be tricked!!!
I do wear pins, is that okay? The kids love them. I may or may not own hundreds of Disney pins and it's like a game. What pin will Miss Lauren have on today? I do it for the kids. :rolleyes1

I was going to ask.

No, but I did see that Dominos has a new Oreo Pizza. That is just plain gross!

.

I can vouch for this!

Oh, that is wicked cute!!
I have a pin collection, I admit it.

I need more information before I can make a call on that one. There's no cheese, right?

I have to leave now. Brief whining moment....
After I'm at school from 7:30 to whatever and then babysitting all night by this time I'm so just done. I just want to sit at my computer and relax. It sucks that I still have to do all of my homework. I don't predict much sleep for tonight.
Whine over. Time to work.

I was going to ask.

I like yr sense of sacrifice for yr students, Peej! :rolleyes1

Yep, DSis wears pins (and even has some funky themed earrings) :scared:

Of course, all pins would be worn strictly for the kids!

There may, or may not be, some people on this very thread who do not teach & who may, or may not, own many, many pins (although not hundreds).
Some of these very same people may, or indeed may not have, attended their very first trading session just last year @ VB.
And at that point someone's DH may, or really may not have, run away in utter embarrassment at his DW being the only adult at that trading session.
Her squeals of delight did not amuse him--maybe! Supposedly...

Okay PEEJ! Good chatting.
I actually need to go for a bit also, I have to lay out the school clothes, make the lunch, check the agenda and finish laundry.
Maybe I'll be back.
Did Rob (remember him?) say he's be here tonight?:confused3

Thanks! I also "borrowed" a "few" (like enough for the whole class) birthday buttons from Chef Mickey's. Today was a little girl's birthday and I brought one in with her name written on it. You should have seen the look on her face. Pure happiness. So see, pins are a good thing. Decorative vests, not so much.

I think that's all just one big rumor. I don't know anyone here who would do that.

GOODNIGHT!!!!
