So, speaking of Christmas, my gift dilemma re: my mother is settled. Bon Jovi is coming to the Mohegan Sun casino in March, but the tickets go on sale this Friday. That's going to be her gift. That seems to be the only thing she and I have in common - instead of getting "stuff" for gifts, we'd prefer to be given a night out, doing something special. Concert, play, dinner, etc.

That's what I mean - the dilemma is settled. I didn't know what to get for her until I heard the announcement on the radio. Then I said to myself, "There's a gift she'll love!" Even if she won't get it until March.

I should make her take me to see Sweeney Todd. If I have to listen to her swoon over Jon Bon Jovi...she can handle a little Burton-Depp blood and gore!

Nothing. Nothing at all. However, Sweeney Todd is a musical thriller that recently played on stage here in Kansas City (and is coming to Cincinnati in February) that apparently has been made into a movie.

Here's the dilemma for you... Johnny Depp is starring in the movie (you would think you would know that since he is your husband, Mrs. Depp ) on one hand. On the other hand, to give you an idea of the type of musical/movie it is/could be, the biggest challenge here for the play here in KC was how to make all of the blood look realistic enough while at the same time making it easy to clean up so that they could do the whole thing over again for the next performance of the play.

Oh dear, we turned a page. Now P&J will never know about Mr. Depp's new movie since we all know she doesn't read back more than the page we are on. (which makes one wonder why she would ask a question right before she leaves )
