Hope you all had a nice weekend. Rob, the freckled offspring is adorable! (must take after DW) Glad you guys had a fun football weekend! I miss going to the games. I guess it will be another 4 years before we return to the HS football field.

Liz, glad you are feeling better! (yes, we care)

Thanks for popping in Jean and Pixie!

Peej! Sorry I have been MIA. It was a crazy weekend! I forgot my charger, so phone calls and texts were limited. I didn't feel like going on the computer. The weather was beautiful and our season finale dinner was excellent!! I'll still be going back when we have games, but no one else will be there :( I'll miss everyone.

We did have to leave early and go to work @@. They had scheduled some concert on the beach in FM's, then oversold it. So, we ended up having to work it. Lots of last minute scrambling. It was packed too!! And, of course we were short staffed. They drank like fish, but I did make a lot of money!! $$$!! That was the good part. Bad part is I can barely move today and my ears hurt !lol

WELCOME BACK Heidi!! We missed you a lot!!

Now, where is that other Canadian??:confused3

Not that this is of any interest to anyone, but I just bought a plane ticket to Orlando on December 20 so I will officially be working at Chef Mickey's again over Christmas break!!!! :yay:

That's great news PJ!! Is your whole family going? Or just you? Will you and your sister have to work Christmas? It stinks having to work holidays. Last year DH had to work Christmas because there was a Dolphin Game. I hated it!
I love Disney at Christmas.

Hi all~

Well, I met Nichole on Friday night. I had a blast, but boy is that girl FREAKY!

I was a little scared when she brought out the can of spam at dinner and asked the waiter for a loaf of bread.

Why am I thinking she would be saying the same thing about you? :rolleyes1

You are supposed to just be impressed that a giraffe knows how to talk and let her eat anything she wants. :)

I have NO IDEA why you would think that Rob...I am sweet, innocent, little Pixie.:cutie:

I was impressed that she could talk...but the drool kind of got gross after awhile.

Of course you are. I NEVER said that such an assessment of you would be true nor did I say your assessment of her was correct, for that matter. I only said that I could definitely see her saying the same thing about you.

Maybe some proper giraffe biscuits would have stopped that drool problem (course you would have had to wait until Saturday or Sunday to see her):

It's okay. I was just kinda wonderin about you. Glad you had a nice last weekend, there's always next summer. Let the countdown begin! :hourglass

I love Disney at Christmas too. I'll be there through January 12, I think. It's just going to be me and my sister. My aunt is hoping to come down for some of that time, but it's not for sure yet. I'm sure we'll have a nice Christmas just the 2 of us though.

I assume I'll have to work Christmas but even if I wasn't scheduled I would try to pick up a shift on Christmas day to get the holiday pay. Since it's not like I'll have a big family gathering to go to or anything, might as well work.

Hi, Rob.

Hi, Pixie.

It was really hotT here again today. Makes it so miserable in the school. :sad2: Lots of schools have been closed d/t the heat again, but not ours. I babysat all evening and I'm really tired, maybe I'll get to sleep tonight.

Hello Nuts!

For some reason I woke up YESTERDAY morning wanting to watch My Fair Lady (maybe so I could bedazzle Liz with some more show tunes ;) ). I went about my daily business and then yesterday evening went down to our DVD library (which is in alphabetical order, of course, except for the Christmas movie/shows which get their own section) to get it and realized that we don't own it (at least I'm starting to believe we really don't own it because I think this is like the THIRD time I've looked for it over the past year).

So, frustrated that I couldn't watch My Fair Lady, I, of course, watched Midway instead. Not quite the same thing but it was in the M's. :thumbsup2

BTW, PJ, Midway has James Coburn in it -- Mr. T's favorite Muppet Show guest. It also has Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, Hal Holbrook, Robert Mitchum, Robert Wagner, and, according to the opening credits, Tom Selleck -- though I'm going to have to watch it again specifically looking for Mr. Selleck because I don't remember seeing him in it.

Tonight, DS9 asked me if I would take him to the library but he asked before I had ate supper (poor brain-damaged child asking a question like that at a time like that :sad2: ). When I finished eating (two chicken breasts, covered in various spices, wrapped in bacon, and hot off the outdoor grill and two baked potatoes), I took him. I went to the NEW Non-Fiction section and picked up two books on the subject of sleep, looked through the music CD's and then headed to the DVD's where I found, sitting right there on the shelf calling my name, My Fair Lady. So, now I have it for FREE for 30 days and, of course, I can renew it for another 30 days for FREE, and by that time, I can just put it on my Christmas list.

BTW, if anyone here has never seen MFL, let me just say that there is a reason the film won eight Academy Awards including Best Picture.

That's a long countdown :(

I would wait until the schedule is up then work for someone that has small children! that would be a nice Christmas gift. But, they probably will have you work anyway. I would be so sad if my kids weren't with me at Christmas.

We usually go up the right after the marathon is over. So, maybe our paths will cross. Kevin's uncle has fairfiled points and last year we stayed with him at Bonnet Creek. He mentioned doing that again! I hope so!

Wow, that is a long heat wave for up there! I'm so sick of this extreme heat, but at least everything is air conditioned!

There you go again with all that fatty meat stuff!
Glad you got your movie, hate to see you having a little movie tantrum ya know.

I booked my California Flights tonight!!
I got a great price, well I think so anyway. $250.00 RT to LA!

I did get a little annoyed by Delta and spent 45 minutes on the phone telling them so.

Today was the first day you could book the seats and the whole front of the plane was taken. So, I call and ask why. They say they are "premium" seats.
What?? They are coach seats, coach is coach IMO.
So, I ask what premium seats cost. Oh, they cost the same. :confused3
But, you can't book them:confused:

You know by now, I'm whining big time;) pirate:

Something about elite members and all. So, after 30 minutes of her crap, I proceed in a different direction and prove I'm elite, being a "queen" and all. princess:

Well, I did manage row 11 on the way there, I couldn't convince her I was handicapped for the bulk head and I better see handicapped people there when I get on that plane @@. And, row 21, which for some reason is also the row behind the bulk head on the way back, which is a red eye flight.

So, I'm pretty happy now.

Hi Heidi!!!

So, now you need to book yours ;)

Ugh...I don't know where we're going next year for your vacation. DH was all over the map during our trip. He keeps changing his mind about what he wants to do. :headache:

So, what are some of his suggestions??

My plan as of now is to fly into LA, drive to Yosemite, stay 3-4 nights, drive to Santa Barbara for 2 nights, then onto Anaheim and maybe San Diego. This will change many time. lol

That's a lot of moving around!

At first he said he didn't want to do the "Disney" thing again. Then he said maybe we could go to Germany, then he was back to Disney but - camping, then said just staying in Daytona and seeing other places and now tonight he mentioned WDW again. Who knows where we'll end up :sad2:

I think DL and other CA activities would be a great compromise ;)
