Hi Lisa!!

I was just in Vancouver, Wed. Thurs. & Fri. it was just beautiful, I wish we could have stayed longer!!! Stanley Park was so pretty. We walked through 7 miles of it!!
I have tons of pix, I'll post a couple of my favorites late on tonight, the web isn't cooperating with me right now <sigh>

Everybody I've talked to who has been out there tells me that I'm gonna want to move there!!! Jeff's already looking into the fire dept.!!!! Won't do anything like that for a couple of years though. This is good news

I didn't get pictures of the turtle while I was floating that day. It was one of the first beach days, less than a week after my lithotripsy, and to be honest I was all about the 3 R's - Relaxin', Readin', & Recuperatin'. KAMommy had just come up on shore after floating for awhile, and I asked her if I could take her float out for a spin, spur of the moment. Plus - Um, it's rare for me to have access to our camera. I have been known to break them. Even underwater, one-shot cameras have been known to disintegrate mysteriously in my possession.

Our travelin' companion "StitchIsARedSoxFan" took some good shots of the green turtle that was released on our second-to-last day. I'll get those posted as part of my Trip Report someday soon.

We got our first decent rain in months last night. Our house (and neighborhood) is near the top of a small ridgeline, with a north and a south valley between two other much taller ridgelines. Basically our ridgeline is a hill, while the northern ridgeline is honest-to-Pete mountains (they are technically located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, about 3 miles from the house). That makes weather patterns kind of screwy where we live. Sometimes it'll be pouring in the south-side valley, and bone-dry in the north-side valley (and vice-versa). But last night we got almost two inches of rain - yessssss!!! It did make the morning commute very foggier, but it's all good.
