PixiePop - I could be your personal guide to the resort. And I won't take up too much room - just a portable hammock out on the deck. And maybe a quick shower every now and then, to rinse the sand out of the thong sequins. I'll make sure to play my ukelele real quiet-like late at night too!
The sea turtles were pretty active when we were there - Just about every morning had a new nest, and on our last day there were two different nests from the night before. I was floating out on a raft about 50 yards from shore late one morning, kinda snoozin', and looked up to see a turtle head and a flipper poking out of the water about 40 feet away from me... On our second-to-last day the rangers released a healed green sea turtle - it passed by about 5 feet from me in the surf.
I've not had any problems out of my kidney stones recovery. I had some good pain medicine prescribed, but by the second night after the lithotripsy I had switched back to Advil. I DO NOT like to take medication, so I actively try to get myself weaned off as quickly as I can safely. The third night was our first night of vacation so I was a bit worried about sitting and driving that long. But it went OK. We started at The World. We took DisneyWorld at a lot slower pace than usual - Downtown Disney on Friday night (we saw the shuttle go up right outside Goofy's Candy Co.!), Magic Kingdom on Saturday, and Animal Kingdom on Sunday. We drove over to Vero Beach Sunday afternoon, and the beach was THE best place to be for me. By the end of the week I was back to normal energy, and I was boogie-boarding with my son in the awesome surf. We left there Friday, and meandered back home for family stuff on Sunday.
Work has been crazy since I got back. We ended up firing that one salon client, which was fine by me. The client claimed she had a designer out of California poised and ready, who could give her a workable layout in three days. Three weeks later, and no plans for that have been submitted for municipal review yet... Don't know if that means they haven't worked anything out yet, or if they're trying to skirt the municipality's review process.
But I now have two other projects to take that one project's place - a small workout gym and a credit union branch office. Since I was out sick with the pee pebbles most of the week before last, AND then out on vacation last week, I've only had like three and a half days in the office in the past two and a half weeks. I'm starting to get back on top of things. We have a full slew of summer UT students working full-time now, and not enough computers to go around (yet). Most days enough people are in random meetings, job site visits, or out on vacation that we've managed the juggling act so far.
