Mixed Nuts Part 2

Maybe we can do a duet and incorporate Lucky Charms AND queens. With all this singing talk Elisabeth's ears should be ringing.

:rolleyes1

PJ:
keep your day job, just sayin'. Yes, your sensei says the word for the day is apercu. Oh and btw, great guess that I'd be posting now. I generally do a lunch time drive by. Your Nancy Drew skills amaze and astound me.

Lisa: You and Kevvy have been offensively absent. :scratchin

Rob: I think you're paying me back for all those strictly tongue in cheek statements I've made about your wIerdness. It's ok though. If I can dish it out, then I can take it.

Liz: Post. We aren't picky about subjects...obviously. This morning we've discussed Lucky Charms and vanilla Coke for pete's sake.

Squid: Your accent sounded very realistic to me.:confused3

:rolleyes1 Does anyone mind if I sing?

"Everybody run - the homecoming queen has got a gun!"

Oh, speaking of lovely queens, hi Lisa!

OMG...I used to have that cassette! And I do have the video...Julie Brown was so awesome.

No, guys, I can't talk about what's on my mind. It's pathetic and it actually might make some people mad.

Okay, well, I thought part of the word of the day was a definition. Must I really go look that up? UGH.

Liz: Post. We aren't picky about subjects...obviously. This morning we've discussed Lucky Charms and vanilla Coke for pete's sake.
I'm not really sure why we're talking about vanilla coke and I'm not Liz but none of this has ever stopped me before. You know how I always say you will need to bring me diet cherry coke? Well I tried diet vanilla coke for the first time yesterday and it was really good. So you can bring me that too if you want. Oko?

You could try us. I'm sure it's not pathetic and the potentially angry people can keep their cool.

Hi! This is GoofyDad's DW. He wanted me to post and let y'all know why he has been out of commission. Yesterday morning, I had to take him to the ER with extreme back pain. Turns out he had a kidney stone. We went to a urologist yesterday. His diagnosis - "That's not coming out on its own". So, this morning, we spent in surgery and they blasted the stone to smithereens. He is feeling better, just sore and a bit drugged. He should be back to play in a day or so.

Liz, my red-headed twin! I knew you would sing with me! What's the next song.

Hi you naughty little nuts...it's been awhile.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Yeeee-oooowwww... and pixiedust: and I hope he's better soon!

I think that was the last song on the cassette. But...

"The crowd was cheering, everyone was stoked
I mean it was like the whole school was totally coked or something
The band was playing Evergreen
And all of a sudden somebody screamed
Look out! The homecoming queen's got a gun!"

Well, aren't we Chipper Dee Dipper today????
It's the whole lack of sleep thing (see the time difference between that post and the previous one of mine). You should try insomnia AGAIN sometime Lisa (like you used to).

Hey! That was my suggestion! Definition, pronunciation, and etymology -- if you're going to learn a word, might as well learn it. At a minimum, you at least have to use it in a contextual sentence for her, E. You can't just say the word is apercu. You need to say "Rather than read the entire Mixed Nuts thread, I just referred to Jean's apercu which was quite entertaining."

Diet Vanilla Dr. Pepper is even better (but don't try to buy it off the shelf cuz they don't make it -- you have to have it prepared that way at the fountain). DW doesn't even like Diet Dr. Pepper that much but, with the vanilla in it, it becomes one of her favorite drinks. It's one of my favorite either way -- with or without vanilla.

Well, sounds like everything came out ok. Best Wishes to GoofyDad for a speedy recovery.

Hi you naughty little nuts...it's been awhile.

I hope everyone is doing well.
OMG! I am here at the same time as PP? Hell must have frozen over and the earth must be rotating backwards on its axis.

It has been awhile Pixie! Too long. What's shaking?

Hello PixieStarDustSparkleFairy. It has been a long time!! How goes it?

I know, she just left me hanging. :sad2: Now tell me what etymology means. And apercu is like synopsis?

I will give it a try. Don't know why I'm giving you any credibility, but for some reason I trust you. I'll report back. Wait. I don't like Dr. Pepper.

I am so sick of writing lesson plans and rubrics. BUT I only have 2 more to go. Someone keep me awake.

Hi Rob...not much...life has been a bit crazy, but good.

How are you doing...other than Hell freezing over and all?;)

:scared1: Yikes GoDaddy, if you needed some attention just ask, you didn't have to go to all that trouble!!

Seriously, feel better soon!! :thumbsup2

Hi KAMommy  Thanks for letting us know.

PIXIEPICKLEPOP? Did ya see I asked about you a few pages back? How are you?

I know, she just left me hanging. :sad2: Now tell me what etymology means. And apercu is like synopsis?

Yes, apercu is like synopsis.

I'm thinking etymology will be the word for tomorrow. You could get a jump start on that and look it up today if you wanted to.

Etymology is the derivation, or history, of a word, i.e., how the word came to be. And, yes, apercu is a synonym for synopsis.

Well, my absolute favorite soft drink (again, one that has to be mixed at the fountain) is chocolate Diet Coke. Try it instead. (although, you might be surprised -- you might be like my DW and like Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper even though you don't like it plain -- although she doesn't HATE it plain which you might. Wouldn't that be scary if you were like my DW? Things that make you go hmmm.....)

Oh, man, I used to love Rubik's cubes.

I am doing great! Although it would be nice if these women would let me sleep at night... :rotfl2:

Maybe when GoofyDad gets back he can pull some midnight shifts.

The alcoholic version of vanilla Coke (I can't take credit for this, but I'll pass it on)...add some Nassau Royale to ginger ale. It really does taste like vanilla Coke.

That sounds doubtful at best. I might consider it though.

Thanks for doing my work for me. Shhh.....let's keep quiet and not tell Elisabeth you looked it up for me and I'll act like I did it. She'll be impressed that way.

Why must all of your favorite drinks be mixed at the fountain? You're needy. I don't HATE it plain but it's by far not my first choice, diet or regular.

Oh, man, I used to love Rubik's cubes.

RUBRICS. Ways of assessing children. It's your word of the day. Like, for example, you get a 1 out of 5 on my rubric for poor attention skills and failure to amuse me.

Well, here in KC, it's not so hard to do. Hit the Sonic Drive-In's for the chocolate Diet Coke and the Quik Trip convenience stores (which are all over here, but NONE in Cincy according to their website) for the vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper (mix it yourself at the self-serve fountain). Steak and Shake might also be able to play a role in those beverage choices -- I don't know if they do chocolate in their fountain drinks or not. Anyway, I pass all those places (sometimes multiple locations of them) every day. I just wish it came prepackaged on the shelf so I could buy it at $2.95 a 12-pack.

Failure to amuse? Hmmph!
