Hi all! I know I haven't been here in quite a while. Things have been pretty busy for me.

I have finally gotten around to getting at least a few of my professional photos that Misti Miotto took up on my personal website though.

Let me tell you, first of all, that what is there is just a VERY small sample. I need to take some time to sort through, figure out a good way of putting up more on my website, and figure out how much I want to put up. Why? Because altogether, there are ... ok, I forget how many now. Over 1000 pictures, I think? A lot, anyway. Probably more than I want to put up on the website. So I need to pick a good coverage of the whole event, figure a good way to break it up and present it on the site, and then actually get it on there. That could take another year or so, the way I'm going.

In the meantime - I at least have a dozen or so pictures on the site now. So for those who wanted to see some of Misti's photos, go take a look. I also have one shot with our surprise guest who dropped in during our reception!

The site is: www.kims-world.net

Everything is under "Wedding" of course, and on that page, there are two active links. The "Pre-wedding" page is just a few shots taken by my sister and my niece with our cameras before the Magic Kingdom Portrait Session. The other "Wedding" page is the professional shots by Misti.

Enjoy!

Love the pictures Kim! I'm using Misty too and I'd love to see more of what she did - can you pm the link to your picutres? Were you outside of Epcot to get the Epcot pictures? Great Idea!

Your dress was absolutely beautiful - you two definitely were lost in each other.

I just checked out your pictures. They are so great! Love the epcot ones :) I absolutely loved the blue in your dress and in your flowers. nice touch :goodvibes

Kim -- Your pictures are wonderful! You looked beautiful and DH was quite handsome! Congratulations on having so many awesome pix to choose from!

Congratulations!

Awesome photos! You looked lovely!:goodvibes

Actually, until I get more up on my website, what you see there is what you get.

Our wedding was back in October, so our page on Misti's site would have aged off by now, I'm sure. But to be honest, we never ended up getting the password for it anyway. The deal we did was one for digital copies only - we didn't get any prints. And we gave digital copies or made prints for family members. So we didn't really need to use her website.

And thanks, both of you about the dress and all.

As far as where the pictures were taken - yes, those were taken outside of Epcot. My poor DH - he IS a wonderful man. We had 6 hours of photography. We did some before the wedding, then they shot all through the wedding. They took pictures through the cake and champagne reception, for about 1/2 hour (we had an escape wedding), and then came the 3 - 3 1/2 hour trek around the World! :rotfl:

Once we decided we were getting married at Disney, and we were getting an outside photographer, I decided I wanted my pictures to be unique. I wanted them to be DISNEY pictures. I mean, I love the pictures I've seen from a lot of the other Disney brides, but.... I just can't help but think with a lot of them that they just don't say "Disney" to me. That a lot of the pictures are beautiful, but could have been taken almost anywhere. And I wanted unique backgrounds that looked like Disney. Now not all our pictures are like that - but a lot are.

So, what we ended up doing is this: we planned our limo ride so that we would still have about 15 minutes or so after the cake and champagne reception. We had a 10:00 (or was it 10:30? whichever is the 1st timeslot of the day at the wedding pavilion) wedding. We made lunch reservations for all of our guests at the Whispering Canyon Cafe at 2 p.m. We left the C&C reception at the Grand Floridian, and took the limo. We had the limo drop us off outside of Epcot.

After we took pictures there, we took the monorail to the TTC. We then took the ferry to the Magic Kingdom. We were able to get some beautiful shots on the ferry - you get some lovely backgrounds there. Then, after getting shots outside of the MK, we took the monorail around to the Polynesian. More pictures there, both inside, outside, on the beach, and on the dock. And then the boats to get over to the Wilderness Lodge, with Misti snapping away whenever she saw something she liked. And a few more here and there at the WL, with us trying to hurry and get to our lunch reservation.

We couldn't go into the parks, of course, but I knew we could get some pretty amazing shots just from outside the parks. I wish we'd had enough time to get over to MGM as well, but it just didn't fit into the schedule.

What a great idea for getting park shots! And it worked so well! :thumbsup2

Also, I bet your sister and BIL are thrilled to have some professional photos like you do! My BIL asked our photogs to take several pictures of him and his wife, which they had framed.

I think it's a great idea, and so generous of you to "share" your photographer! :goodvibes

i love the color blue that you used. hopefully my sister glimpses this thread and is inspired :thumbsup2 ! your sisters rose wand was great, was there tulle in there?

Thanks, lurkyloo!

That was actually my MOH present to my sister. Ever since they got married back in 2001, my sis had complained that she wished their photographer had done more. She was very happy with the pictures their photographer had taken, but she felt that the photographer just didn't do much as far as getting different backgrounds, different shots of them, more of the guests, different "non-posed" types of shots, that sort of thing. I knew she'd always been a little dissatisfied with it.

Add to it that my now-EX is in all the family shots from her wedding(the EX that none of the family ever liked, and that we all later found out was cheating on me at the time those pictures were taken), and, well, let's just say I felt it was the least I could do! :rolleyes1

DH and I took the best one of her and her DH with the Epcot globe in the background and had it made into a painting for them for Christmas. Sis's DH liked it all right, but sis LOVED it!!! :thumbsup2 Of course, I think she was almost more excited about me having a Disney wedding than I was!

Thanks! We had a tough time picking the blue, you know. First of all, my favorite color is green, and DH's is burgandy, so that was tough right from the start. As much as I love green though, the blue goes better with my skin and eyes, and green is much harder for flowers and such. So I wanted blue. But DH kept trying to get me to go with burgandy. Sigh. I had to explain to him about color and complementing my natural coloring, and besides, the blue went with the whole Cinderella theme.... Guys, they just don't get it sometimes, you know? :lmao:

Then, when I was trying to pick what I thought would be a good color blue, that would look "Cinderella-ish" enough, he starts in with how it can't be "Carolina blue", because he hates Carolina blue. But he was having trouble defining for us (me and my sister) which shade of blue was Carolina blue, and was ruling out about 3 or 4 shades. Finally, we gave him the swatch card, told him to pick one that was the closest to Carolina blue, and that was the one he got to rule out. And then I would pick my blue from the rest.

Why Carolina blue? He's a Maryland Terps fan and alumnus. I guess they are rivals or something.

Anyway, I got my blue - and everyone has loved it. DH ended up being glad I picked it too.

As far as the rose wands - no, it isn't tulle. It's just sheer ribbon.

I was amazed at how well it all came together though. My sister and my mom picked out the bridesmaid dresses halfway across the country from me. I told them they didn't even have to be the same color blue, or even have to be blue - they could have just gotten black. And that they could get whatever style dress they wanted. The dress wasn't exactly what my niece wanted, but my mom and my sister just sort of took over and decided for her anyway. :) And my sister had seen the color before, but all they had when they went shopping was a very small triangle of material clipped from a swatch sampler, which we weren't sure how close to the actual color it was really going to be.

And of course, with the flowers, I just talked through what I wanted with Rosie on the phone.

And everything looked great together!

Gorgeous! I love that you have blue on your dress and the bridesmaids dresses matched it exactly. So gorgeous and different!

Thanks Pixy! I'm amazed they were able to match it so closely. It wasn't even from the same designer, and they picked theirs without any help from me several states away with a swatch of material that was a triangle that was less than 1/2 inch long on its longest side!

Aren't moms wonderful! :yay:

Beautiful Pictures!! I love the blue in your dress!! I'm hoping to find a dress with some pink in it!:Pinkbounc
