Mister Disney & The K-Man let you pick their breakfast and lunch options!

I just thought about suggesting a chicken box from Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness and then a nice picnic on the beach there!

That sounds like it could be very romantic.....

wonder if the K-Man would go for it? :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have no specific recommendations, but if you would excuse me for being so forward... may I join you for lunch on the third?

I am sure we could arrange it, as long as you are not picky.....we ALWAYS enjoy meeting other DISers.....

maybe we could organize a group lunch with Mister Disney & The K-Man?

Anyone else interested in Lunch with us on Friday, October 3rd?

Afternoon Tea at the GF

GF tea for late lunch one day would be great. Hubby insists we NEED to go to the tea...if he can do it so can you. (I said yes so I can pre-order the slipper dessert for me...what's not to love...chocolate and mousse!)
I dunno...think we're "man" enough to survive "Tea" at the Grand? :lmao: :lmao:

Jiko (Do they serve lunch?) I want to eat here, no one else in the family does...can I live vicariously through you? Please.
Alas, Jiko does not do lunch....we have a review we'll be doing of Jiko, coming up next, after we finish off desserts at Bistro

Room service breakfast wherever you are staying...I love room service, and you guys should lay in one morning and enjoy breakfast in your robes. (Please bring robes. :rotfl:Boxers are notorious for "Wardrobe malfuctions.")
We ALWAYS wear "boxer briefs", so we can ASSURE you we would NEVER have a "wardrobe malfunction" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This IS a "family" site isn't it?

I most definetly think you are MAN ENOUGH to have afternoon tea! And it would be the prefect place to order that mini-wedding cake...yum!!!

(Whole trays of little pastries to try...just stacked there waiting for your dessert loving selves to choose from...bits and bites of cheeses (hopefully not COLD.) You know you want to go to tea! There's champagne too!!!...what's not to love?)

The Wave at CR for lunch. It's new, so we NEED you to do this one.

Yak and Yeti, lunch. (Same logic as the Wave...see above. :) )

I'd definitely love to see your reviews for either of these too new places...

We are actually going to be in Atlanta in June on a business trip.

June 16 - 20

Maybe YOU could pick a place in Atlanta for us to try!

Oooh...that's an easy one:

The appropriately named Baccanalia Restauarant. You can read about it here. (There are other more casual places under the Star Provisions label - click on the link for Baccanalia.) It is considered one of the, if not the, best restaurants in the city.
http://www.starprovisions.com/

Another good choice is Rathbun's (Kevin Rathbun, the chef, recently won an iron chef competition against Bobby Flay.) Rathbun's and Krog bar are two of my favorites.

Here is the website:
http://www.rathbunsrestaurant.com/

And right next door is Krog Bar - also owned by Rathbun - were you guys can have a drink first. Its a cute little wine bar with spanish tapas.

So my first choice would be Baccanalia - truly not to be missed - and Rathbun's as the #2.

If you're game and have the time I'll be in town then and it would be fun to have a mini-foodie meet. But in any event, try not to miss these restaurants! :thumbsup2

I'm from midtown atlanta as well. I have a list of awesome restaurants I could give yall. Atlanta has become a fast growing foodie city. If you want some recs let me know. Dh and I love going out here in Atlanta and usually have a very hard time deciding where to go.

Where are yall staying in Atlanta?

These were the 2 I was going to recommend. Rathbun's also has a Rathbun's Steak now. They have some great apps, steaks, and sides. Rathbun's is one of our favorite restaurants. The other week we had elk tenderloin that was to die for. It was melt in your mouth good.

And I have to plug Baccanalia even more b/c my BIL is a line chef there. He usuallys works the grill. It's a great restaurant.

I haven't been to Rathbun's Steak yet but its on my List. Also - very :cool2: that your BIL cooks at Baccanalia!

Breakfast:

Boma's
Kona's
House of Blues Gospel Brunch (on Sunday!)

The HOB Brunch is the one I'd love to see you guys do the most. We (DW and I) had a great time back in 2001...but haven't been back since we've had kids. We're contemplating it for this next trip, coming up in December...I'm wondering if it's still as good (food and entertainment-wise).

Lunch:
Le Cellier
Yak and Yeti
Tutto Italia
The Plaza

Are you planning a nosh??

yes we will be doing a "Nosh Around the World", either the 4th or the 5th.

We haven't decided yet.

As soon as we do, we'll put up a message to that effect.

Who knows....might even have T-shirts again like the last time.

Looks like we should plan a DIS Dinner Meet in Atlanta then!

tigger536

anyone else?

Also....we're still taking suggestions before we poll everyone on where we will be having breakfast and lunch in the fall....

Vote early and vote often! :rotfl2: :lmao:
