We don't know if the Steakhouse will be the 3rd or the 5th at this point.

We're going to leave it up to the Chefs to decide, as they will be preparing another fabulous off menu adventure for us in celebration of Kevin's 50th birthday!

Very very nice! I'm sure it will dazzle! Us, on the other hand, will have to "settle" for the regular menu. Break out the tiny violins, LOL. :rotfl: I love eating at Yachtsman in any form or fashion so I am totally excited. This will be our first trip during F&WF, so I can't wait for that goodness also!

Happy planning!

PS: nothing like spending a landmark birthday enjoying a fine dining experience. What a great way to ring in K's 50th! Not to hijack your thread (sorry!) but I wanted to interject with where I'll be for my 30th (in a couple of weeks):

Back to your dining options now...

I just thought about suggesting a chicken box from Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness and then a nice picnic on the beach there!

I would love to see what you think about the places that get mixed reviews like San Angles Inn (Mexico Pavilion) and Tony's:cool1:

I think lunch and or breakfast at the Wave. I think it looks interesting. Plus it is new and new expierances are always exciting.

I'm sorry, I'm a Disney Dining newbie but:

Once we compile a list of where people would like us to dine, we'll put up a poll and let everyone vote....

GO AT IT.....here is your chance to get us to do a food review of your most favorite place in the World...or maybe the most bizarre!

PoohHappens suggested back in 2005 that we do POP Food Court for Easter Sunday breakfast....little did she know that we REALLY WOULD go there.....that was...until she read the review![/QUOTE]

Love love love your reviews and this is a funfastic idea! Have a great time with it!

I have no specific recommendations, but if you would excuse me for being so forward... may I join you for lunch on the third?

I have lurked, read, laughed, and loved your'all's reviews so much that I feel like you're my friends, so now I am going to suggest a breakfast and a lunch option that I think will be fun and yummy for the two of you.

I think you would love having breakfast at the Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom! (Frozen Latte and Cinnamon Roll, please!)

I think lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Mama Melrose's, or Beaches and Cream with a Kitchen Sink would be so fun!

By the way, we'll be at the world that same weekend...celebrating my 40th birthday. Maybe we'll see you there!;)

Well everyone is making obvious choices, I want to see something out of the ordinary like the POP breakfast but I can't think of anything. And CiCi's is so "been there, done that".... :goodvibes How about 1900 Park Fare character breakfast and Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station? Restaurant Marrakesh? McDonalds at Downtown Disney? Turkey legs in the MK?

We actually did do a LITTLE review of Casey's previously.....

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1090478

While we didn't taste the whole menu, we ordered out favs!

OK, now I've read it and my comment is...I so appreciate that you can go from Casey's to 'whatever the chef dreams up' at the Yachtsman and can appreciate each for what they are! Keep up the terrific reviews.

I'm off to search for more....:rolleyes1

BTW....has anyone recommended CRT yet? ;)

GF tea for late lunch one day would be great. Hubby insists we NEED to go to the tea...if he can do it so can you. (I said yes so I can pre-order the slipper dessert for me...what's not to love...chocolate and mousse!)

Kona Cafe for lunch would be a good review to see from you two...the desserts are great here...I know you love desserts.

The Wave at CR for lunch. It's new, so we NEED you to do this one.

Jiko (Do they serve lunch?) I want to eat here, no one else in the family does...can I live vicariously through you? Please.

Yak and Yeti, lunch. (Same logic as the Wave...see above. :) )

Room service breakfast wherever you are staying...I love room service, and you guys should lay in one morning and enjoy breakfast in your robes. (Please bring robes. :rotfl:Boxers are notorious for "Wardrobe malfuctions.")

Main St. Bakery Breakfast. YUM. This is a lot like dessert but without the guilt.

I may have gone over the meal limit here, but there are too many places I am hoping to see you review. Whatever you chose, enjoy!

:) Sheli

I can only dream that one day my hubby would insist we go to tea!! I think I'd fall over in a dead faint :faint:

I LOVE tea! This is one thing I would have liked to have done with DD while we visited in August. Just could not fit it in.

Breakfast:

Cape May. And can't come up with anything else

Lunch:

50s PTC (those spankings, indeed! ;) )
Afternoon Tea at the GF
And... hm... The Plaza on Main Street.

Btw, have you thought about ordering a special occasion cake for the Bday?
I would love to hear your opinion on those!
