What an adventure!!!

Thank you so much for allowing us food voyeurs to experience such a special night with an amazing couple.Your generousity never ceases to amaze me. Just from the small glimpse you've allowed us to see of your lives, I can see that you are wonderful people who truly love each other.

....Now K-man, about that rich brother............. :p

The Foi Gras literally melted in our mouths. The Fuji Apple Tart was INCREDIBLY crispy.....I was struck by the fact that it remained crispy, even when it was just about swimming in the cider reduction sauce.

I splurged and had this in February. Melt in your mouth describes it perfectly. I insisted DH try some, and then I had to slap his hand away because he wanted more. Nope...all for me!! We have raved about that ever since our trip, and now I can't wait for another opportunity to enjoy V&A's foie gras.

I'm sure it's an interesting tale pirate:

Great review guys, I would love to go sometime. I had a couple questions about coffee? My husband is a fanatic and picky (but will drink anything including nescafe at disney to ward off the headache if he has to). What is with the Choc full o' nuts ???? What is that and do you drink it regularly or just travel with it. Also that coffee bong, does the coffee steep in the upper and then strain to below. Kind of like a french press with gravity instead of a plunger???? Also when are you coming for the meal I offered last year, with the brie and smoked salmon on bread, potato leek soup and the beef tenderloin etc....... ;) Thanks again for the wonderful review, it really brightened my day.

PS I do have one other question re: the picture in white T-Shirts but not sure it is appropriate...................

Hahahaha! :lmao: I'll warn you before we go the next time, and you can leave a set behind for me! :smooth:

Thanks for the entertaining read and wonderful pics! This thread has brought a new meaning to food porn!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :thanks:

Thanks to the Food Network,Top Chef, and the DIS I have become a foodie as well and now actually know what you are all talking about!!!

I grew up with a dad who was a meat and potatoes guy and Chinese to me was the disgusting stuff out of a can. :crazy2: Thanks to DH my dining experiences have expanded. Although, brains, pancreas, or whatever it was, and moldy cheese just doesn't sound so appetizing.

I always enjoy a chef's table review, but it's hard to pick out the food posts from the chitchat in this thread. Any possibility of posting one long review, or a website page or something?

Sorry you don't enjoy the chit chat...thats what everyone else so enjoys about the thread..... :confused3 :confused3

I'll see what I can do about cutting and pasting strictly the food review into a single thread for you.

Thanks guys! That was thoroughly entertaining. :goodvibes

I will be at Disney in December on business and would like to dine at V & A's but I'm not sure how much I would enjoy it alone. I think I would miss not sharing something soooooo wonderful with my husband!

As for sweetbreads, I had them at a little restaurant in Amsterdam way back before the kids were born. Wow! They were excellent. Fabulous taste and texture! And yes, I knew what they were when I ordered them.

Looking forward to your next reviews! It's supposed to rain until next week here in Connecticut. Since you two are so fond of those chains ;) , chain yourselves up to the computer and create!

Fondly,
penny

Umm... yeah... less chit chat... more DESSERTS! :teeth:

Better yet, keep the chit chat, just make the chit chat more about the DESSERTS :thumbsup2

You are so accomadating... does Justin realize the chit chat is what keeps the thread up on the first page?

I have a feeling my dh will "lurk" on that thread tho - lol I did make him come look at the pictures, but I kept the

DESSERTS

to myself!! :lmao:

(and yes, I totally and completely enjoy the chit chat!!) (and I enjoy LOL too!)

You guys are amazing.

I have enjoyed your reviews so much. You deserve the "Best Review Ever" award.....if there was one! For me the whole thread has been great. I love that you share and for a time I can live vicariously through your lives. Thanks for all your efforts.

You may even be responsible for a impromptu mini vacation in June. I have my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!

Did you watch him the other night on artichokes? Who knew? Not me!

One more question, How did the Souffle Gran Mariner compare to the Bistro? Did it fall like you thought the Bistro's should have? OK, thats two ?? :rotfl:

Great report! Enjoyed it !
