Mistake In my party # go anyway?

Just noticed my whispering canyon is for 4 not 5!!!! Not sure how this happened. Called Disney she said they don't have a red for 5, so I say, can't we just go, we are 3 adults 2 kids can squeeze together. She says it's not about the table size but against fire code. What do I do ? This is the only place DH wants to go. Should we just show up anyway?

I would show up and try. If they're too full, they'll just tell you "no". A couple of years ago, we showed up at 'Ohana for our ADR and they had our party of 6 reserved as a party of 3 I had made the ADR by phone and I wonder if the CM meant to reserve 2 tables of 3 and just made a mistake (all of our other ADRs were right) They had no problem getting us in, though.

In the meantime, I would keep trying to change the ADR.

She was right about the fire code, but they'll only turn you away if the restaurant is so full that they can't admit another person due to the fire codes. That happens, but not often.

Try to find a reservation for 6, as well.

As others have said keep trying between now and the day of your ADR. You may find what you need. If not you can always try to walk-up with the extra person. The worst they will tell you is "no" but keep in mind if they don't let you add the extra person it isn't because they are being unreasonable pains, they are just following a strict code.

Keep trying of course, but then show up anyway. It could just as easily have been the CM's mistake. My recent trip they had us as 4 adults (we were 2 adults and 2 children) at a number of my ADR's...there is simply no way that I made the ressie that way..and the CM always reads back the info - so even if I somehow said 4 adults (which I'm sure I didn't), I would have corrected her when she read that back to me.
I am sure that they will accommodate you if at all possible.

This is a result of the newer system that only cares about ages for the pre-paid reservations. It just goes in as "4" people, and then on the restaurant side it reads adults since they are not specified.

At least, that's my guess.

For the OP, 1 person should not make or break the ADR at WCC. I'll parrot the Keep Trying but Show Up Anyway like .
