Missoniares arrested in Haiti

Don;t jump to conclusion just yet.

Our church is there right now...The story from there is these folks had the right paperwork to move the kids...then the hatian gov changed the required paperwork set while these kids were in transit.

Something Smells alright...

Yeah what smells is that some of the kids had living relatives and parents.

Which willing gave the kids to the missionaries. The statement from the parents is they couldn't take care of the kids.

There are varying accounts from various people in the group, obviously depending on their level of involvement with the paperwork end of it. Even the Haitian government admitted that it had changed the regulations suddenly last week.

What is undeniable is that there was no intention to “kidnap” these children, “traffick” in them, or do anything remotely like that, and both you and the Haitian government are fully aware of that.

This was all for show, so that Haiti could distract attention from its own self-created problems and point to evil foreigners.

Yeah the missionaries had the parents sign a form saying the kids would be going to live in a big beautiful house with a pool, that right there is deceiving...esp. to someone in poverty/disaster situation

I fully believe the parent thought the missionaries would help
but i dont think the parents knew they’d be put up for adoption

I for one am not willing to give these people a pass because they claim to be religious/doing God's work.......

I just find it incredible that out of 10 "missionaries", not one questioned what they were doing was wrong. I just don't buy that all 10 were that naive. Way too fishy. I think those 10 are right where they should be.

Because they claim they were doing "Gods work". Of course they're not going to question that...they believe they are above the law becaus ethey are oding what God told them to do....there are legitimate missionary groups down there but these type of people are the ones who can potentially give religious missionaries a bad name even though a lot of them do good around teh world:sad2:
