My fellow Mississippians, who out there is getting some snow right now? We are just south of Hattiesburg and it has been coming down for a couple of hours. BEAUTIFUL! Dd and her dog are having a ball in it.

For anyone not in Mississippi, this is a very rare occurrence, especially in December.

We got some here in Jackson. Enough to cover my car and the trees are covered, but it is stopped now. It was beautiful though.

Wow, that's crazy. I was just in MS last week (in Eupora - near Starkville) and was enjoying the 60-65 degree weather! Enjoy the snow while it lasts. :goodvibes

LOL, well, you know what they say, if you don't like the weather in MS just wait awhile, it will change!

On the coast here and it is cold but just rainy.....My friend up near Hattiesburg is going to let me know if it snows and if so we are heading up so DD can enjoy it!!!

I hope you headed on up jemgumby! Most of what was in our yard last night had melted by 6 this morning, but there was still enough out there to play in.

Dd and I had a snowball fight last night around midnight and another this morning. Her dog was just having a blast! She loves to play fetch and was trying hard to fetch the snowballs.

Wow! Dry as a bone here in upstate NY.. :)

How much do you figure is on the ground? Is it good packing snow - for making a snowman? :goodvibes

I would say its probably an inch-two inches. We made a small snowman last night. It packed well, just not enough to make a big one without rolling it all over the yard.

I was telling dd last night, the only time I ever remember making a full size snowman was when I was about 4. My brother and I started at the back of the fields (about a 5-10 acre field) and rolled the ball all the way to the front yard of Mom's house.

How fun!! :)

The weather certainly has been strange this year.. Would you mind terribly if we let "your" area get all the snow this winter? :rotfl:

We lived in KY for years before moving back to the Jackson area. My kids just rolled their eyes when we told them it was snowing here. They remember the time we got snow drifts in front of the garage door and could not get the cars out for 5 days. Good times.......

It was so pretty last night. I miss the snow... but this is the best kind, it comes down then melts before noon the next day. And, we will be back to shorts and flip flops by the end of February :goodvibes:goodvibes

We got snow to. But it melt now. I knew show it was coming out Texas that we would get snow.

Good thing it came on the weekend. Or it would have cancel school. It don't take much to shut down the city.
