Any news on when Mission:Space is opening????

I just got my Disney magazine and there a contest to win a trip to Disney for a premiere party on Oct 9 for MS. So I think it would be open before then.

The soft opening for MS is in August sometime. The real grand opening is on October 9.

The preview opening is August 15. There may or may not be an extra soft-opening before that.

What is difference between soft and grand opening? We will be there Oct 4-11. Will we be able to ride Space before 9th and should we avoid Epcot on 9th if we want to avoid crowds?

A soft opening is like a preview, where the ride is open to the public for a few hours each day. The grand opening is when the ride is open all day.

Yes, I would avoid EPCOT on the 9th because of huge crowds. In fact, EPCOT will probably be crowded your whole visit.
