I think Mission Space is the only ride at WDW we have never ridden. Never had any desire to and the kids never ask. My nephew has it marked as a must do on our upcoming trip and I'm curious. Would you consider this to be a simulator style ride? How would you rank the intesity? Some simulators make me sick, so I'm thinking I probably need to steer clear of it.

Mission Space Orange made me so insanely sick. As soon as it started I knew I made a mistake getting on. (Should have known since they begin with each seat has a vomit bag) Thankfully I didn't actually get sick but I could barely walk for at least 2 hours after! It was miserable.

I tried Mission Space Green on a different trip and didn't get the extreme motion sickness. I can't say I enjoyed that ride either as I am not a fan of the small space you are in. Definitely felt claustrophobic on both sides.

Skipping both sides from now on!

It's pretty intense if you don't like simulator rides. The "cockpit" you are in is very tight and the front of it where the screen and controls are gets pretty close to you. It also spins very fast and there's potential for dizziness if you don't look straight ahead.

I've always been too scared to try this one, but I did book an FP+ for my upcoming trip...I'm not sure why, haha!! Tight spaces don't bother me at all, but I do tend to get pretty dizzy and sick on spinning rides, so I think I'll try the Green. Is the Green side worth it, or will I feel like I'm missing something?

If you ride "Green Team: Less Intense Training" I think you'll be fine. It really only shakes and you look through the viewscreen. It's not too bad.

Was it the difference on the Green side? Now I'm wondering if my kids will even like it. lol

The non-spinning side is a fun ride, but not anything really special. I am too chicken to try the spinning side. As PPers have noted, it is a VERY confined, tight, "in your face" kinda space. You are locked in, the screen is very close to your face. If you have any claustrophobic tendencies, this will ring your bell.

I don't remember which side I was on since it was 3 years ago but I will say I almost had a panic attack because it was so tight in there. Yes I would say I'm slightly claustrophobic ;)

One of the most underrated rides at EPCOT imho. Orange side is pretty intense, gives you a definite feeling of blasting off and the g's pulling you. Love playing with the instrument panel, and doing my "job" to save the mission. The Green side does not spin, so not as intense. VERY well themed ride, and even if you don't ride, the games afterwards are lots of fun, plan on spending a few minutes doing them. There is also a place you can make and email your own "space" themed video. I have 3 sons, and now 2 grandsons, and it seems like if a ride isn't girl oriented it is brushed off. This is a great ride, and I think should be given a try if you don't have a serious problem with simulators. If you do, at least walk through and enjoy the theming.

I did the Orange side once...that was enough for me. 10 seconds in and I was regretting it.

I have ridden the Green side many times and don't feel that it is missing anything by not spinning.

As others have mentioned, if you suffer from claustrophobia the ride vehicle could be an issue.

Was one of my favorite rides! I did orange and only felt sick for one second when we rounded the moon. I closed my eyes and was ok.
I did read that if you keep your eyes on the screen, don't look a round too much it helps.

I've never seen as many warnings for anything as you get for Mission Space.

Yep! The sure sign(s) of an AWESOME ride!!! ;)

My DH doesn't do well with simulators tho there was a bench at the exit on the Green side where he sat for 2-3 mins then was good I will mention Star Tours at HS taught us no simulators b2b ;) I'm a tad claustrophobic yet we are a small family so it didn't really get me on Green MS as the "cart" was roomy & the screen view "opened" it up ;) As PP mentioned the play area is a must & sending emails from space is great so anyone not riding should definitely meet up for a few :)

I usually don't get motion sick on rides, so I thought I'd be okay on Orange Team.

BOY WAS I WRONG.

Biggest mistake of my life. I had to sit for like 15 minutes afterwards to get my head back on straight.

I've not tried the Green Team yet, the tight space didn't really bother me, so maybe I'll give it a go on my next trip.

My DH and I did the green side last year while we visited. I am so glad to know what the orange side is like so I can avoid it. I already get bad sinus and migraine headaches I definitely wouldn't purposely go get myself one from the orange side. Green side now and forever!

I may be weird, but Mission Space Orange Team is my favorite ride in Epcot. I have ridden it many times in the same day... Once three times in succession. I agree the theming is worth checking out and if not claustrophobic, a ride on the Green Team would be the best way to experience it.

I did the green team and thought it was too tame so I may try the orange, but really I wish there was something in between

I was a Mission Space chicken. DH had tried to get me on it for years. I finally caved when DD (then 6) gave me the sad eyes and begged me to ride with her and DH fo her first time being brave enough to ride it. I loved it. It did not make me sick at all. I would liken it to Star Tours. I've ridden it several times since then.

If you can ride Star Tours, you should be okay on the GREEN side of Mission Space. If you can not ride Star Tours without getting sick, then I would not ride Mission Space. I have not tried the orange side, and I don't plan, to. I've heard too many bad stories, and if I can't handle Tea Cups, I know I can't handle orange Mission Space!
