Mission Space soft opening and park hours

Just a thought that came to me. With the soft opening being announced for Aug.15th, 2003. Do you think that with the influx of people trying to be some of the first to do the ride, that hours could be changed for the other parks? We already had our trip planned for that time period (aug 11-18). Wouldn't it be great if they put longer park hours and more parades to accomidate the higher attendance!! Any thoughts from DIS'ers out there? One can hope..

i dunno... for a soft opening. I dont think they would. Because it isnt trully open. Maybe when it is officialy open. Who knows it seems like they just pick numbers out of a hat for times sometimes.

I think there will be lots of people just because they announced that August 15 is the soft opening. usually soft openings aren't announced. This one got a lot of press so I think there will be a lot of people trying to get in .

We personally will have Epcot touring done by Aug 15th just to avoid any big crowds in that park. We will be traveling back to the world soon enough, so MS isn't on our must do list this trip. Would anyone else take this into consideration for their planning?
