Mission Space question regarding children

My 2 kids age 8 and 12 really want to ride Mission Space when we visit Epcot next month. My oldest son (age 16) usually rides it with them, but he is not vacationing with us this time. Neither my husband or myself can tolerate that ride. Will Disney allow them to ride it themselves? I have fastpasses for it, so they wouldn't be in the standby line by themselves. My husband and I would be waiting at the exit for them when they get off the ride.

As they are both over 7 years old, yes, they will be permitted to ride.

If they didn't want to go in alone, you could walk in with them and let the CM know you aren't going to ride. There are plenty of people who decide not to ride once they see the video.

It's actually a nice line (and not usually too long so I'd recommend going in and taking the "chicken" exit before the ride.

Yep.

I take it they are riding the spinning side, Orange? The other side, marked Green, is just a motion simulator with nothing happening to make you feel g forces like Orange does.
